Good list of movies there. Bram Stroker's Dracula is my favorite version of that story and Gary Oldman was perfect for the role. I just wonder if that movie might be too graphic for Dawn and Kim's Mom? But I'm sure she could simply just turn away during some scenes.

Ooh, another great suggestion is WarGames! The classic cold war scifi film that introduced the masses to dial-up internet, and its implications and effects on modern military strategy. I found Temple of Doom to be quite entertaining for the most part, although Kate Capshaw's character can be annoying at times. I can understand why it helped influence the creation of the PG-13 rating, and I think the movie Gremlins, which came out the same year, also helped move that along. Doom is certainly not the best Indiana Jones movie (that is The Last Crusade in my opinion) but it is not the weakest (Kingdom of the Crystal Skull).

I’m looking forward to a ‘Temple of Doom’ reaction (whether now or in the future), as I consider it underrated. Given that some people actively dislike it, it might help your enjoyment to have a general idea of what to expect. ‘Doom’ is a bit different from ‘Raiders.’ Whereas ‘Raiders’ feels grounded, in ‘Doom’ Spielberg cranks the volume knob to '11.' This is true not only with the controversial-at-the-time storyline, but with over-the-top *everything*, including a fair bit of silliness. Hopefully, even if this approach isn’t your cup of tea, you can appreciate the brazen spirit and the chances taken. (Seriously, even the opening credits subvert expectations.)

A TV series suggestion. I think that you should react to the HBO series "Succession" next. It has wit ,dark humor , and twists and turns in every episode. It also is a satire on rich families who own media empires and the lengths family members will go to claim or reclaim power.

It is a little strange that 'A League of Their Own' was left out when a couple others that I can't remember anyone requesting made the list. (Though maybe they were requested under the Youtube uploads.) They would definitely enjoy 'League.' It's also a nice lighthearted movie, which seem to be the type that are favored for the "surprise" reactions.

I think Cast Away is in Tom Hank's top 5 movies along with Forrest Gump, Saving Private Ryan, The Green Mile, and Road to Perdition. Splash is a good Tom Hanks film that many forget about since it came out so early in his career. Also, The Burbs might be his most underrated film.

That's the first time I've ever heard The Green Mile accused of being offensive. The film is very clearly anti racist.

Prisoners is a great movie and I think you’d all enjoy it as a change of pace to the kind of repetitive nature of the films you watch. It’s a mystery/thriller/crime drama. And I think you all would enjoy seeing Hugh Jackman in a role other than Wolverine. Personally, I find The Green Mile to be racially offensive and I hope it does not win.

I don't know if you've seen it, but I think you ladies would love The Lego Movie. It's really funny and inventive. I'd also ABSOLUTELY recommend The Lego Batman Movie, It's also hilarious, and many people consider it to be one of the best Batman movies.

This is quite the Hanks-heavy poll. (I counted nine of his films here.) Not that there's anything wrong with that. I'm guessing this is from everyone suggesting their favorite Hanks movies after the wonderful reaction to Forrest Gump. I personally think that Cast Away would be a great follow-up to Gump, as Robert Zemeckis directed them both; the similarities in feel/aesthetic are undeniable.
