2020-09-27 00:31:22 +0000 UTCThat would be nice. Would be good for them to see more Natalie Portman movies to appreciate to range. I'll be sure to vote for it next time it's on a poll. Ooh! I gotta suggest Black Swan sometime!

2020-09-25 01:29:44 +0000 UTCGood list of movies there. Bram Stroker's Dracula is my favorite version of that story and Gary Oldman was perfect for the role. I just wonder if that movie might be too graphic for Dawn and Kim's Mom? But I'm sure she could simply just turn away during some scenes.
Justin S.
2020-09-24 21:13:59 +0000 UTCRatatouille is a good one

2020-09-24 03:22:26 +0000 UTCOoh, another great suggestion is WarGames! The classic cold war scifi film that introduced the masses to dial-up internet, and its implications and effects on modern military strategy. It was so forward-thinking, it influenced Ronald Reagan to introduce new legislature on computer security. It's also Matthew Broderick's debut starring role in a hit film.

2020-09-24 02:50:07 +0000 UTCI found Temple of Doom to be quite entertaining for the most part, although Kate Capshaw's character can be annoying at times. I can understand why it helped influence the creation of the PG-13 rating, and I think the movie Gremlins, which came out the same year, also helped move that along. Doom is certainly not the best Indiana Jones movie (that is The Last Crusade in my opinion) but it is not the weakest (Kingdom of the Crystal Skull).
Justin S.
2020-09-23 23:37:21 +0000 UTCI’m looking forward to a ‘Temple of Doom’ reaction (whether now or in the future), as I consider it underrated. Given that some people actively dislike it, it might help your enjoyment to have a general idea of what to expect. ‘Doom’ is a bit different from ‘Raiders.’ Whereas ‘Raiders’ feels grounded, in ‘Doom’ Spielberg cranks the volume knob to '11.' This is true not only with the controversial-at-the-time storyline, but with over-the-top *everything*, including a fair bit of silliness. Hopefully, even if this approach isn’t your cup of tea, you can appreciate the brazen spirit and the chances taken. (Seriously, even the opening credits subvert expectations.)

2020-09-23 21:25:00 +0000 UTCA TV series suggestion. I think that you should react to the HBO series "Succession" next. It has wit ,dark humor , and twists and turns in every episode. It also is a satire on rich families who own media empires and the lengths family members will go to claim or reclaim power.

2020-09-23 20:51:25 +0000 UTCMe too!
2020-09-23 10:29:07 +0000 UTCThe movies on the last pole had better choices, however there's still a couple decent options. Im still holding my breath on a Halloween reaction🎃👤🔪

2020-09-22 22:24:03 +0000 UTCIt is a little strange that 'A League of Their Own' was left out when a couple others that I can't remember anyone requesting made the list. (Though maybe they were requested under the Youtube uploads.) They would definitely enjoy 'League.' It's also a nice lighthearted movie, which seem to be the type that are favored for the "surprise" reactions.

2020-09-22 22:11:33 +0000 UTCAll these Tom Hank movies and my request A League Of Their Own wasn't included which stars Tom hanks... Would've completed the set. 😟
2020-09-22 21:12:08 +0000 UTCGattaca would be another great option to add to these polls. A scifi Noir starring Ethan Hawke, Jude Law, and Uma Therman.

2020-09-22 20:39:01 +0000 UTCI voted for A Perfect World. I'm a big fan of getting reactions to classic films or ones that have been "overlooked" or forgotten over the years. Most of my suggestions have yet to make a poll appearance but I'm staying patient.
Justin S.
2020-09-22 20:22:33 +0000 UTCI think Cast Away is in Tom Hank's top 5 movies along with Forrest Gump, Saving Private Ryan, The Green Mile, and Road to Perdition. Splash is a good Tom Hanks film that many forget about since it came out so early in his career. Also, The Burbs might be his most underrated film.
Justin S.
2020-09-22 20:19:41 +0000 UTCGood selection of films, especially ones starring Tom Hanks. I'd like to add Splash to that list, as that his first big role. Also, The Burbs is another good early Tom Hanks film. Anyway, here are my weekly movie requests. The Long Kiss Goodnight Ransom Breakdown The Sum of All Fears Goldeneye Meet Joe Black As Good As It Gets There's Something About Mary Groundhog Day Tootsie I'll include some scary/horror film requests for the month of October.

2020-09-22 20:15:26 +0000 UTCThat's a fantastic movie. I'm sure Storm/Dawn will do a reaction of this soon enough. She's been doing recent classics like Independence Day, even The Patriot, Forrest Gump.

2020-09-22 18:19:26 +0000 UTCI would like to request The Last Samurai. If you like Tom Cruise I think this is one of his best films.

2020-09-22 18:13:40 +0000 UTCAfter watching the Scott Pilgrim reaction, I feel compelled to ask for The World's End again. Sorry, I've nagged for it several times now. But I really think you'd like it.
2020-09-22 17:53:38 +0000 UTCThat's the first time I've ever heard The Green Mile accused of being offensive. The film is very clearly anti racist.
2020-09-22 17:47:18 +0000 UTCPlease, please, I want you so badly to react to A Perfect World. It's such a good movie. All my suggestions lost the poll so badly.😔
Stephanie
2020-09-22 16:51:42 +0000 UTCTime for my list: Hidden Figures primarily (for historic value), then (silly) comedies: Austin Powers, Naked Gun, Hot Shots, Scary Movie and the alternative classic: The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

2020-09-22 13:41:22 +0000 UTCSome suggestions: Mad Max: Fury Road Snowpiercer Parasite Pacific Rim Attack the Block La La Land The Social Network The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011) Get Out Good Will Hunting The Theory of Everything Remember the Titans Legends of the Fall Little Women (1994 and/or 2019) Bridesmaids Love, Simon School of Rock (I’ve noticed Kim really loves music and recognizes songs in stuff you all watch all the time. I think she and you all would get a kick out of this Jack Black family comedy.) And for Halloween: The Thing (1982) The Addams Family Addams Family Values
rhaegar
2020-09-22 13:40:01 +0000 UTCPrisoners is a great movie and I think you’d all enjoy it as a change of pace to the kind of repetitive nature of the films you watch. It’s a mystery/thriller/crime drama. And I think you all would enjoy seeing Hugh Jackman in a role other than Wolverine. Personally, I find The Green Mile to be racially offensive and I hope it does not win.

2020-09-22 12:12:48 +0000 UTCI don't know if you've seen it, but I think you ladies would love The Lego Movie. It's really funny and inventive. I'd also ABSOLUTELY recommend The Lego Batman Movie, It's also hilarious, and many people consider it to be one of the best Batman movies.
2020-09-22 11:55:26 +0000 UTCI know it’s superrrr early and that by tomorrow it’ll get buried but.. my votes winning!!! The green mile!! ^o^

2020-09-22 11:37:17 +0000 UTCThis is quite the Hanks-heavy poll. (I counted nine of his films here.) Not that there's anything wrong with that. I'm guessing this is from everyone suggesting their favorite Hanks movies after the wonderful reaction to Forrest Gump. I personally think that Cast Away would be a great follow-up to Gump, as Robert Zemeckis directed them both; the similarities in feel/aesthetic are undeniable.
