You recall correctly that last year’s Christmas reaction on youtube did contain the holiday scene. Believe the patreon reaction was a time travel episode? The odds of the former working out, as I said, were approximately three thousand seven hundred and twenty to one. As to the holidays themselves, yeah, I figured you’d have a full plate on the days. Thus, this will be your celebration. Better than I’m doing. No real plans. Some on Christmas Eve, but nothing else really. Holiday spirit’s dead. The matter of the end of the year, not looking the most ideal, but hopefully it’s quiet enough. See how it goes. Now to the episode. I am shocked, SHOCKED to find that Rowena lives still. (Your winnings, Sir. Oh, thank you very much.) Before getting into that, we have the two other witch bitches, who we both did not like. Yeah, I know how you feel about the love spell shit. The feeling is mutual. Hate the saxophone playing as if this all humorous, when it isn’t. Another such occasion where we cannot sanction this buffoonery. Gets bad when they target Dean, making all twitterpated, (whatever the fuck that means,) and Sam instantly clocks it. Dean mentions the idea of the younger siblings hooking up, and I snap, “Oh, why do that!? Why don’t we just blow my brains out now and save ya the trouble!?” I also yelled at Dean for the beer run, namely yelling, “The fuck? You just got a fucking sixer? You said, “beer run”, I figure that means you’re getting at least four or five cases.” All while Lucy and Castiel are stuck with the one demon. See you liked the scene of Castiel firing back at Lucy. Rotten thing is that I sort of feel Lucy’s pain when Castiel says about Jack loving the films with the heroes. Led to some kinship felt with Lucifer. ...Shit. They got out, and good on Castiel stabbing old Lucy. Rowena is back in the fold, love her coat, and her clutch matches it perfectly too. Very nice. Knew she’d be back as given how they sold her death, you knew this was coming. Gets you when she finds out about Crowley. She says that Crowley’s death doesn’t sound like him, and no, it doesn’t. It sort of felt like the writers just really wanted to kill him, so she’s right about that one. Big surprise is the trauma bonding scene. That got me, wasn’t expecting it. Hilariously relatable how the retail employee does Dean the solid. Retail employees would have the hunters’ backs in this area. Rowena does sort of double cross the boys. Yell at Sam, “Sam, you got trombone player arms, you can reach that bag easy.” You took exception against the two witches talking shit about Rowena. They can’t talk shit about Rowena. Only WE can talk shit about Rowena. Crowley too. How gauche that the two sicced their zed word mother on Rowena. She was yelling for help, I’d have yelled, “Sever the head or destroy the brain!!” We both had a similar reaction to Rowena giving the two witches their reward, their eternal reward, that is. Sam gives her the page, see how that plays out. Your question: Are you not supposed to be excited? Difficult to say with that one, an assessment made more difficult in my case given my lifelong love for the villains. Maybe we’re both just that sick in this regard? Do like how Sam let her have the page. Interesting reversal where Dean is the optimist now. Depression is a very draining experience that never ends. Hoping Sam gets through it. So, all in all, a good Christmas Eve reaction for youtube. Again, probably not doing much for holidays; might have the CC Baxter energy, as has been the case for several years now. Thank you for the reaction, Jess.
