I could see Twelve being very cross about the situation. Seven would likely be rather irate about it as well.

Imagining, with some wry amusement, how an encounter of the Cytherians with The Doctor might go, dependent upon each incarnation, after dragging the TARDIS 30,000 light years off course.

Sort of wish that they’d have recreated the lip-reading scene as that would have been great. The line is a good homage. The Barclay episodes are surely memorable. This one does stand out in a good way. The plots do have that relatability factor, yeah. Not the first time Star Trek has the rushed ending. The idea of the Klingons and the Romulans being swept up in this plot is an amusing mental image.

“I’m afraid I can’t do that, sir!” Barclay turning into HAL 9000. Nice homage to Space Odyssey from the writers.
Nice to see Dwight Schultz reprising his role as Reg Barclay. He's one of the best recurring characters in Star Trek, in my opinion. Barclay episodes are always fun, as they tend to be both outlandish and relatable and generally uplifting. It's also nice to take a break from the more serious and emotional stories.
I agree with your thoughts on the episode's ending. The resolution to the story feels very rushed. I wonder how the Klingons and Romulans would react to being hijacked by the Cytherians.
