I actually like the way the older movies were made. Everything shouldn’t be PG13. There are enough adults to make enough money on rated R movies. Actually, a lot of television shows are rated more than PG13. Game of Thrones, I only mention that one is because I know you all have watched that a lot.

2026-02-02 00:53:11 +0000 UTCAside from the Trading Places reference...another nice Easter Egg is the movie poster in the subway that's titled "See You Next Wednesday" is an Easter Egg placed in most of John Landis's films. It's even in the Thriller video when Michael Jackson is in the movie theater. Right before the jump scare when Michael is walking through the isle...a man in the movie says: "See you next Wednesday."

2026-01-30 22:31:52 +0000 UTCYou could cut little bits out and get it a lower rating, but you'd destroy the vibe of the movie - we've lost that from movies, and they become sterile, and the environments lose their lived-in quality and people don't talk how they talk. We used to watch this all the time when we were like 10 anyway, the rating didn't make a drop of difference. Also, by the way, this was one of Samuel L. Jackson's first movies, not a cameo per se, he did a small part because he only got a small part - it's not a "look at this incredibly famous person we got and gave him a role to give the fans something to get excited about" - it's just aged like that is all.

2026-01-30 20:54:08 +0000 UTCWell is about hot ham time!!!! Classic. Speaking of FATHERS, if you have ever seen the move The Sting with Robert Redford and Paul Newman, James Earl Jones' father, Robert Earl Jones, is the man that plays Redford's thief partner in the beginningof the movie. They sound and look the same. Also fun fact, the King and Queen of Zamunda, are the same voices in the 1994 Lion King.

2026-01-30 20:24:29 +0000 UTCLove that you are (unknowingly) going through the A.J. Johnson (mom from baby boy, dancer in house party and sister act) and Vanessa Bell Calloway (mom from love dont cost a thing, queen to be here, also in temptations and 4 fours) filmography. Unsung supporting/day player actresses in huge films. 🙌 they help to make this films the legends they are
