This is one one of my fav Amanda Bynes movies along with She's the man. The Advisor was related to the fiance. She was his daughter you hear her refer to him as Daddy multiple times and her daughter called him Grandpa but I do agree with you that it would be weird that he ends up doing bus tours at the end
