He's also the reason she was cast as Dorothy in The Wiz even tho many thought she was too old and preferred Stephanie Mills who was the original Wiz Dorothy on Broadway and still is an amazing icon. 2.) SMOKEY ROBINSON is THE WRITER OF ALL HITS. He's the writer behind most of Motowns biggest hits. He, himself had a very successful group(the group he walked in with at the show they performed at as the Distants) 3.) TAMMI TERRELL (David's girlfriend) is the woman who sung on some of Marvin Gaye's biggest hits. (Thats why David got mad when she hugged Marvin at the picnic.) She died at the age of 23 due to brain cancer. David Ruffin once hit her in the head with a motorcycle helmet. She was also in an abusive relationship with James Brown. (None of this is in the movie of course lol) 4.) The group at the beginning ONLY appeared in that scene. That group never mentioned again in this movie. That's all for now.
