There were lots of clues and hints throughout the film that actually ties really nicely together on re-watches. Pls do check out Zootopia+ series! good back stories in there

There's also the assumption of Nick being a crook and Judy even calls Nick 'articulate' the first time they meet (which Nick calls out as condescending). Pretty much every character in this movie has a bias that influenced their judgement of others including Judy herself. Even as a viewer we have implicit biases that affect how we first view characters. Bellwether the sheep is a great villian that is incredibly evil. Think about it this way, some of the most evil people in our real world are the ones who incite fear and hate in others, especially those who use bias/prejudice to create a boogieman to rally people to their side. The best way to combat this manipulation is through teaching empathy and that we have to be aware about how we view others. This is a great movie for children I think given today's political landscape
