2024-09-22 19:43:11 +0000 UTCWow, I was surprised to see this one come along! Personally, I love the Madea movies just for the Madea character herself and of course for Uncle Joe. The storylines in a lot of Tyler Perry's movies seem to be pretty heavy, and many times are about failed relationships and how to move beyond them. And from what I've read, that seems to be the real issue that people have with his movies. I think that in many ways, the Madea character and the Uncle Joe character often bring the much needed comic relief to the underlying serious nature of his films. For me, I love watching Madea movies just to find out what Madea is going to do or say next! Her one-liners and quoting of famous black movies is downright hilarious!
