I also agree that this is Zach's best movie. I think what helps is he works best when he has a good guide and is working on rails. I hold his Watchman adaptation pretty highly as well, and I accepted his change to the end... though that Watchmen series on HBO showed the original ending could have been done well. The greatest honor for a Spartan is to die on the battlefield, so being told by Leonidas that he hoped he lived forever is to be denied such glory... and it obviously crushed him since his honor was so easily bought.

But this one is amazing. I enjoyed every frame, the dialogues and the scenes in that war field. Very powerful and visually fantastic. The King is so brave, strategic, powerful and very wise. He is everything how a King should be, in every aspects. Like you said, The King's death was really glorious. And The Queen, she nailed it. I liked how graceful she is, powerful in thoughts and actions. I loved it guys. Definitely a great story to remember, as the King's wish. Thanks for this one.
