2024-12-15 14:21:25 +0000 UTCwas really waiting for this one. that whine cartman does at the end is one of my top 5 moments in south park and i was adopted as a child, yea, if you put your kid up for adoption, then you revoke your rights to that child. and Sheila is 100% correct, if the parents aren't able to acknowledge the fact that they're the biological parents but not the people who raised the kid or were the true family that the kid grew up with every day of their life, then those people need to fuck off, cuz they're gonna really fuck that kid up and destroy the perspective they've built about where they are loved and belong. Oh, and yeah, it was from a movie. “I don’t think we’re in Kansas anymore..” Dorothy from Wizard of Oz. The whole time in Canada is a light parody of that movie. Each character that joins the boys is for the scarecrow, the tin man and the cowardly lion, Scott is the wicked witch, prime minister is the Wizard, the only road is the yellow brick road, etc.

2024-12-15 08:48:14 +0000 UTCYes, you lose rights and I also believe that depending on where you are, they have it where the adopting parents know who the biological parents are, but the biological parents won’t know who the adopting parents are. I could be wrong though. And the Canadian prime minister wouldn’t have that kind of authority.
