2024-10-01 19:53:50 +0000 UTCThis episode has a shit ton of things going on so it might get confusing so here’s a breakdown: We saw some of Rick’s origin a while ago and basically a Rick discovered portal travel before him and he came to him and offered to share his technology but our Rick denied cause he loved his family and didn’t care to go to other universes where instead of being with his wife and Beth he would just be with other Ricks. The other Rick was like wtf bro we only need ourselves no one else and our Rick was like no I want to be with my family and the other Rick didn’t like that so he stormed off and a couple minutes later dropped a bomb in a portal to kill Rick’s wife and Beth. After that Rick went on a rampage trying to find and kill the Rick who did it and killed a bunch of Rick’s hoping to get the right one but every time he has tried he’s failed and he’s never found him. It’s also revealed that Rick built the citadel I believe in order to try and lure a bunch of Rick together and find the one who killed his family. He gave up trying to find him cause he couldn’t after decades and got drunk asf when he gave up. When he was drunk asf he crashed into the garage of Beth’s house (in a universe where she lived to adulthood) and once Beth saw him she let him move in and that’s how he met Morty cause there is no Morty in his original universe cause in Rick’s original universe Beth died as a child and Morty was never born. Then what evil Morty keeps talking about is the central finite curve. The central finite curve is all those golden balls with each representing a different universe. The curve was made at the same time as the citadel it seems and the curve is all the universes where Rick is the smartest. So basically there are infinite universes and Rick got the universes where he is the smartest and most powerful and separated them from all the other universes. Evil Morty wanted to be able to explore the whole universe and not just the ones where Rick was the smartest but he couldn’t because of the curve. His plan was to break through the curve and go into true infinite dimensions not just infinite ones where Rick is always the smartest meaning he can now go to universes where no Rick’s are or ever will be. Also any the portals in the curve are green like we always see and the portal outside of the curve are golden which is why evil Morty made a gold portal. And you’ll see him again and he kicks ass!
