It would be disconcerting if Orochimaru died that easily, but knowing how he was in canon before his final resurrection, the fics might be able to leave him in a better light.

Of course I fully assumed Danzo's Suicide Technique would need some serious Power to Survive. Either having Plot Armour, a Total Defense/Evasion Technique or in this Case Last Resort/Sacrifice the Limb for the Body method.
