They did Elijah a favor and the rest of the characters by never having Klaus never fight in wolf form. Damon struggled with Tyler while he was in transition he and Caroline stood no chance once he transformed. Also when hybrid Tyler was compelled by Rebekah to turn it took Stefan and Elena power combined to hold the door closed. In this universe a when anybody who is wolf fully transforms they are a problem for a lot of vampires a fully transformed Klaus is a PROBLEM for anybody.

Both Elijah and Klaus have never had a fight where both parties are genuinely angry with one another where the main goal is to hurt one another. They’ve had some similar disputes in the past but they had ambushes incorporated in them. This scene perfectly shows just how Elijah can handle Klaus in a hand to hand combat, Klaus is stronger but Elijah when he fights is much more strategic in the ways he fights while Klaus because he’s the strongest fights very recklessly. Apart from the fact that Elijah spared with klaus a lot when they were young and still human. Was happy they did Elijah justice in the fight 😅
