You kept asking how was Galis alive in 1968. If we're going with the logic of time travel from Lost, it's because 1968 is Galis's present. and 1745 or which ever the year was, was her future. She hadn't come through the stones yet for everything to take place. For everyone else that was in the year 1745, that was there present. So they could die, and still be dead later on. I hope that makes sense.

Thank you so much Terry! I appreciate you joining in!😋

Oh - My! She's AT Df-in-A!! I just left a reply - yesterday, I think - to another commenter on YT saying I couldn't wait for Evie to get from the episode we were commenting on, perhaps S2xE3 or E4 to the great Season 2 finale; Df-in-A, AND HERE SHE IS!!! To explain, I've been following these remarkable, insightful, and throughly charming Outlander reactions on YouTube for several weeks - absolutely loved them - but I don't normally subscribe as a Patron for only one series I'd follow, BUT Evie's Outlander reactions have been... well special...so this morning I did! Then, I scrolled down the current Patreon posts AND THERE IT WAS!!! - Dragonfly in Amber! To convey the appreciation I have for Df-in-A, I'd offer this... IMHO, there are certain distinct episodes in the history of television that 'stand apart from' and even 'transcend' the series they are part of... as truly great achievements in their own right. The episodes such as: ‘Two Cathedrals’-[The West Wing] / ‘Proxy Authentication Required’-[Mr. Robot] / ‘Oximandias’-[Breaking Bad] / ‘The Greater Fool’-[The Newsroom] / ‘The Wilderness’-[Handmaids Tale] / ‘No Weddings and a Funeral’-[Ted Lasso]... immediately come to mind as a few 'great' examples. And, I'd be remiss, if I didn't include THIS, my absolute favorite Outlander episode, - 'Dragonfly in Amber' - not only as truly transcendent, but as a season finale that should be considered among the greatest single episodes in television history. I immediately launched and watched my first full Evie reaction and learned how the phonemail Df-in-A could possibly be improved!... Tears,Chills/Goosebumps and a little squeal... Tears... (like those she cried for Devil's Mark) Evie's tears at the most poignant moments; Jamie asking about Clare's pregnancy... the whole farewell scene ending in Jamie's goodbye... Brianna's believing her mother's claims about the stones and in her father; Jamie Fraser... and the Chills/Goosebumps that Evie had from the first 'Clare wake up at the stones' scene of the season that ties/is part of Df-in-A master episode storytelling and finally, Evie just has a little≈≈≈ audible sign of joy. ya, it was the -'tears'- and the -'goosebumps'- and those little -'squeals'- that made the -'perfect' - even -'better.' Extraordinary Reaction! Couldn't Be Better!

O my I could finally caught up with this episode; I know, this episode is fantastic!

Patpet

Hey! there was a mistake with this post, I hadn't selected the tiers properly. The tier you are in has the episodes unlocked until 2x08 yes! :) the next tier has 9 until 13

Marie-Ève Vignon

Hi just a question. Is it normal that i can't watch episodes 9-10-11-12 juste before this one ? I had to upgrade 2 times my patreon level to see the 7th and the 13th Thanks

Christine Mugnier

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS COMMENT! I love reading these and you are so helpful! The Outlander community has been nothing but kind to me and it's making the series so much more fun to watch (didn't think it was possible haahha) & I cannot even imagine having to wait a year to know what happened after this finale🤯 These episodes are just delicious, and I have never used that word to describe an episode of television hahaha but yes, de-li-cious🖤 so excited for season 3!!!!

Marie-Ève Vignon

I’m so so excited for you to watch season 3. There’s so many moments that I can’t wait to see your reaction for!

Kayla

This is one of my favorite episodes too:) Time travel does get tricky...lol. It's crazy to think that Geilis is just now going into the past but arriving well before Claire first went through. 🤯 Right!

Ashley Hartsel

This episode was so well made :) Got the chills every time. Can't wait for you to discover season 3❤️

Nessie- Je lis, et alors

Notice when Roger says "Looks like a fucking barbecue ?" Does it reminds you something ? ^^

Nessie- Je lis, et alors

Oh man! I can’t wait until I get off work to watch these last 2 episodes of the season!! So good and heartbreaking💔 ^^^^^^^^ Okay, my workday just dragged out, but I’m watching now and will try to answer your questions and comment as I go. First, I really like the actress playing Brianna, but there is one thing that bugs me and I’m just being nit-picky that she doesn’t have blue eyes like Claire and Jamie. In the book she has blue eyes and is almost 6 feet tall of course because Jamie is tall. Sam is 6’3 but in the book I think Jamie is close to 6’5 or more. Claire says in the book that she can see Jamie in a crowd because he is much taller than everyone. It also broke my heart when I learned that they have been apart for so long. 😩 I hate thinking of them apart. That scene when Claire visits Lallybroch in 1968 and she hears all the voices just breaks my heart and when she sees Jamie standing in the archway looking beautiful as always in his kilt. That is how the property really looks like. The floors are all damaged just inside the door which is why all exterior shots just show the actors walking up to the door or just a step inside and then all the interior shots are done at the studio. Then I remember little Roger with the baby voice “Can I have a biscuit?” So cute. Claire looks so beautiful. She reminds me of Jackie Kennedy with that hairdo. You asked about Fort William where Roger took Brianna, yes that was where Jamie had been flogged and where Claire was taken when Jamie came to rescue her through the window right before Randall was about to rape her. That is why she had a bad reaction when Brianna asked if she’d ever been there and remember from S2 E1 Claire asked Frank never to use the word flogged in her presence. Your reaction when you heard Geillis’ voice was priceless. As you have figured out that was before she went back in time. Remember, she told Claire she was from 1968. You are right, if Geillis saw Claire in 1968 she wouldn’t know her because they haven’t met yet. Claire saw the dragonfly in amber at the museum along with other artifacts found on the battlefield of Culloden which was a wedding gift from the beggar Hugh Munro in S1 and as you saw later in this episode, Claire gives it to Jamie before she goes back to her time. So when she saw it on display knowing that Jamie had it confirmed that he was on the battlefield. With regards to Dougal, they had to do it otherwise he would’ve killed Jamie. When Jamie had Fergus take the deed to Jenny, we know he was successful because Claire got a copy of it in 1968 and was told that Lallybroch remained in the family for generations. I loved hearing Jamie call Fergus Mon fils. I had to look it up to find out what it meant. I love how Jamie gives pet names to those who he loves. He also had a name for Murtagh, Goistidh, which means godfather in Gaelic. When Jamie says it, it sounds like “ghost gee” Haha! When you said “Brianna, it’s okay boo boo” Oh my god!! The baby reveal and the fact that it was Jamie who figured out that she was pregnant because of her courses 😭 BTW: I can’t even imagine what it was like to deal with that in the 18th century. At the stones, Jamie said he would find her even if it meant spending 200 years in purgatory. That is why there is a lot of talk online that it was Jamie’s ghost who was looking up at her in the first episode. Ughh… watching them say goodbye at the stones thinking that they will never see each other again because Jamie was going to die on the battlefield. When she goes through the stones, we are now caught up to the first episode of S2 when Claire wakes up in her time and the man on the road tells her that it is 1948 and the the British won the battle of Culloden and she told Frank she was pregnant and they agreed to raise the baby together. Now you know why she went back to her own time even though she never wanted to leave Jamie. At the stones, the show creators and actors were trying to figure out how to get Claire to go up to the stones when she didn’t want to go and that’s when they decided to do it like a dance with Jamie slowly leading her closer and closer as she was telling him that she loves him. At the end of the episode when Claire learned that Jamie didn’t die at Culloden, I think a big part of her was upset because all this time has passed and she never said goodbye to him and never let him go until she visited the Fraser headstone and also if she had known earlier that he didn’t die, she was thinking that she could’ve gone back sooner. Imagine what it was like for people who watched this when it originally aired. People had to wait an entire year to see what happens. I started watching the show when it was in S4 and I quickly binged the first 3 seasons and was then able to watch S4 but had to wait a year for S5 and because of COVID we had to wait 2 years for S6
