Clare's WWII wounds just aren't completely gone. Yet, Clare's quick thinking encountering a Brit in the here and now was heroic. And so, the Frasers' will be ready. Funniest thing in the reaction... Evie predicting we will all see the young boy named John Gray again... little does she know how it will be so ;-)

I truly enjoy reading your comments:) This episode shows what a leader (& laird) Jamie is. He inspires these men to follow him even though most have never experienced war/battle before & you know they've gotta be scared... But let's be honest, who wouldn't follow Jamie, right 😉

2022-06-20 20:46:41 +0000 UTCHi Evie, I haven’t gotten to this book yet, I have been reading out of order. It’s possible that Claire told Jamie about her deal with Dougal in the book. I have noticed that in the show, sometimes they will refer to something that wasn’t seen, but it was in the book. Jamie is trying to get the men to understand how important it is to be disciplined to be ready to fight, also because he knows that history shows that the Jacobites lose the war, but Dougal keeps undermining him. That was why he was willing to get lashes himself and to earn respect. As you said. A true leader. Yes, Claire was suffering from PTSD. Like you said, she never dealt with it as she explained when she told Jamie. When Claire was pretending to be a prisoner and struggling against Jamie, did you notice when she kneed Jamie he was like “Sassenach” and the look he gave her because she got too close to his privates. 😂 I wasn’t sure if you caught that because it was funny.
