Easter MaliXemas with a full cartoon look

Hey guys. Taking advantage of the fact that the graphic elements were already ready, I quickly put together an Easter decoration and updated the look of the scene. So I present to you “Bring the Eggs”, the Easter version of MaliXemas.

This time I didn't add or change any of the mechanics, the only changes were in the graphics, now fully cel shading, as well as in the FPS. I believe that by taking the previous versions of MaliXemas as a parameter, you can better understand the graphical difference.


While I was updating the materials I had the idea of transforming the setting into a love cabin, where you go on special days to spend quality time with your ginger girlfriends.


I'm inclined to write a script giving lines and context for MeliXemas, varying according to the date. I will certainly improve and add more game mechanics, and more content using the cabin space, to turn this minigame into a fun game. I thought about a hot tub and a round bed.


However, I will have to skip some commemorative dates before making these changes, as S4H continues to be the priority.

Hello! I'm glad you liked how the look turned out. You're right about the lighting, in the FPS I left a point of light responsible for the projection of shadows, while in this one the shadows are projected from the window, so it doesn't appear on the girls. Shading is important, especially for scenery. Luckily I can control the amount of shadow cast on the skin to achieve the best look. This is an advantage of cel-shading, it is easier to configure the details. I will post soon explaining the planning for the next releases. Thank you very much!

Hello, You haven't wasted any time, you've already made plans for next year's Easter. I like the style of the cabin. The difference with version 2.1 is really noticeable. Personally, I like both. During the test of this version there was something that bothered me about the FPS graphics. It took me a while to work out why and I think it has to do with the play of light and shadows. In FPS the light is more even and there are more shadows, which gives depth to your style. In version 2.2 the light is stronger which removes the shadows and makes the whole thing more readable. So I don't know if it's deliberate, but your style is still good. No need to worry about skipping dates, and it's a good thing you don't make a version for every holiday, otherwise you won't see the end of it. No need to give a mini game, just a short message to show your progress or to give information you want to pass on will do. Of course, there's no need for long posts, just do it when you feel like it and have the time. In short, you don't need much at times. Best regard
