Blue Checkmark?

I have never managed to get a blue checkmark in any PBB social page, and I don't think I will be able to get it, it's really hard. However I was always afraid that someone could get it for me, you know who I mean (old site). But I think it was difficult even for my "rivals", let's say...
But lately there has been a lot of talk about the possibility of getting the paid blue checkmark on Twitter, even if you are new or a common citizen, not only a "VIP".
I don't want to throw away 8 dollars for a badge, there are more important things to buy, I think..., but now I have a doubt that if it's that easy...anyone could take the PBB blue checkmark (don't do it! XD) and maybe NOW I would be better to get it, since it is possible, and I thought it was impossible until yesterday.
Since I pay everything that supports PBB with Patreon money, it seems fair to me to ask YOU for advice on what to do.
What do I do? Buying the $8 blue checkmark on Twitter for PBB? Or is it a waste of money?
