Play Minecraft With Andrew (and each other)

So Andrew has been pretty addicted to Minecraft since the Color of Change stream.  He and some of the donors have been growing out the city and working on cool projects, and he told me the other night that he thinks he's ready to open this up to more people.  I figured we could take smaller steps before I consider making it public to everyone who watches the channel.

So, hey patrons, if you'd like to join the Minecraft server from that previous stream go ahead and add this to your server list:

minecraft.naklwilson.net

It looks like a new update just came out for the game, 16.x, but the server is currently 15.2 at the time of this posting.  So if you want to join you'll have to go into your Minecraft launcher and click the "Installations" tab and create an installation that is version 15.2.  Don't worry, it's as easy as those instructions sound.

You can also click the above link in order to view the map of the server.  I recommend hovering over the sidebar to the right and selecting the top middle option for a 3D view like the one in the picture above.  With this tool you can still take a look at the cool projects people are working on or see who is online without necessarily having to play and participate.

Alongside the 28 episodes of Minecraft I did with Bird a while back you'll also find the 12 hour Color of Change charity stream that I did with Marty, Andrew, Ashley, Bird, ColonelRPG, and Ephiestis, so you can get caught up on the origins of the server and see how much it has changed since the stream.

Will I be online?  Never say never I suppose, but I'm not exactly on a Minecraft bender like Andrew is at the moment.  Running the YouTube channel keeps me pretty busy most days, and if I want more gaming in my evening I generally gravitate to Overwatch and World of Warcraft lately.  This server rollout is more of a chance to hang out with fellow community members.  Have fun!  Hope it doesn't break.
