Summer = Deluge of bikinis

Swimwear and guns don't really mix in real life, but that's not gonna stop me from getting as many hot chicks in swimwear with guns photos as I can this summer.

Things are looking up with recruitment, should be able to have a steady stream of content!

I think that gun themed photography generally has a more anal, educated audience... as it takes a fairly deep body of knowledge to be a "gun person".  People get triggered, by lack of trigger discipline etc.  There is always an element of realness to guns that we try to stick by... but the hot chick aspect is fantasy that is usually very appreciated in a field that is 99% men.   Gotta be careful to walk the line between reality and fantasy in photos, IMHO.  We generally spend at least a few hours with basic firearms instruction with our models, sometimes range time if time allows.

I think there are only 30 attractive women in the gun world in America (out of 330 million people) and I've already met 20.

Sure, people are more than their looks, but if you're in a looks field, you gotta recruit by looks first.  When I see people suggesting middle aged, but very talented female shooters for company's annual shecksy photo calendars that usually features professional models... All I can think is that person must be virtue signalling to their wife/church or something.  "Look at me honey, I don't think a woman's looks matter at all"

Yeah whatever dude.

If you notice the placement of her fingers you have to much free time on your hands. To me it seems that much more staged to have the models concerned with trigger discipline. Its a photo I have no idea if the magazine is loaded, if a round is chambered or even is the safety is on. Nor do I care.

I think the fantasy is a beautiful/hot/sexy woman who actually is comfortable around firearms and doesn't make the typical mistakes. With the near psychotic level of love/hate that the American media has with guns, we're drowning in images of unsafe gun handling, supressors that are make machine guns sound like bb guns, and all manner of other ridiculousness. When someone who ought to know better (like a gun writer or . . . photographer) allows a "wrong" aspect to their image to slip through, it makes us nuts. We're betrayed by one of our own, so to speak. On the other hand, when the important stuff is done right, we'll allow a lot of other stuff to slide. As you point out, bikinis are not good shooting attire. However, if the models look comfortable and look like they're maintaining good muzzle and trigger discipline, the image works for me. There are a lot of "hot girls with guns" images out there, and it's clear the models aren't comfortable, they have their finger on the trigger, or other safety violations. I can't stand those images. Yours on the other hand are truly an exception. Please, please, please, keep up the good work!

I've noticed that, generally, if the model isn't do anything wrong then gun guys will love it (even if the gun is barely in picture). But if she's doing a tiny thing wrong, they (including me) focus on that over all things. It's a funny phenomenon.
