One of the very first professionally taken pieces. Ron Kuhwede was the first photographer I worked with. He had posted a call in a neighborhood portal looking for new faces. I replied spontaneously, attached a few, let’s call them „less expressive“ pictures and he invited me to his studio. We talked and took a few portrait shots. He then asked me to go into the next room and undress as much as I felt comfortable. I came back naked and we did my very first nudes. I was euphoric and surprised at how in tune I felt. For the first time in a long time, I felt like I was in the right place at the right time. I had actually found an art in which I felt at home. I always knew I was an artist's soul and had resigned myself to never finding my place in the world, not knowing what "my" art was. Standing in front of the camera and merging with the photographer's vision nourishes me and gives me peace, freedom, connection - my purpose.
