Subject Agency Assignment Week 1

Welcome to your first Subject Agency assignment!

As you may recall, the concept of "accept, reject, or adjust" is an integral part of my hypnosis. An important part of being an empowered hypnotic subject is being able to remove yourself from unwanted or dangerous situation. I know what subject agency means to me, but what does it mean to you? Your assignment for Week 1 is to answer the following questions:

1. How do you personally define "subject agency"?

2. How is "accept, reject, or adjust"? incorporated into your hypnotic life (if it is a part of your hypnotic life)?

3. Give an example (if you have one and are comfortable sharing) from a specific experience or file where you knowingly made a decision to accept, reject, or adjust something.

4. Bonus: Choose one of my files from the "Accept, Reject, Adjust" Collection to listen to, practice listening mindfully, and report back on your experience.

This post is for all Patreon members.

personally I define subject agency as being able to accept or reject suggestions u find acceptable and not. Just staying safe during hypnosis and only accepting suggestions u find to be safe.

"How do you personally define 'subject agency'?" I define subject agency as a set of abilities: to forecast the implications of hypnotic suggestions, to reject suggestions they believe go against their wishes, to communicate with their hypnotist while in trance when they cannot easily accept or implement a suggestion. Forecasting doesn't need to be completely accurate for a subject to have agency, rejection does not have to be all or nothing, and subjects do not need to be able to be extremely eloquent in their communication in order to have agency. There must simply be a minimum level of competency in each for subjects to be considered as having agency. "How is 'accept, reject, or adjust'? incorporated into your hypnotic life (if it is a part of your hypnotic life)?" Acceptance of Lee's suggestions is my default state. However there are times when I know I need to adjust a suggestion Lee has made. Usually these are in group sessions. Language that is meant to keep subjects safe and to make the trances accessible for all sometimes carries implications that could potentially be of detriment to some of the effects Lee has achieved with me personally. In these cases I accept as much as I can, adjust anything else if possible, and reject anything that can only be accepted or rejected. During a one on one session, whatever might be adjusted or rejected is held off somewhere in my head while my unconscious mind communicates with Lee. In group settings, my unconscious mind simply makes the call. "Give an example (if you have one and are comfortable sharing) from a specific experience or file where you knowingly made a decision to accept, reject, or adjust something." I remember there being a group trance I was part of. Lee was working with themes of addiction to show the power and versatility of hypnotic drug play while demonstrating how it can be safer. At the end of the trance, there was language that suggested all feelings of addiction and need for Lee would dissipate, but I knew that went in direct opposition to what Lee had been doing with me. So my mind simply rejected that language. "Bonus: Choose one of my files from the 'Accept, Reject, Adjust' Collection to listen to, practice listening mindfully, and report back on your experience." I listened to Acceptance (From Beginning to End) with the intention of being mindful about my listening. My experience of the file did not really change, except that I could feel more of the tension I get when my unconscious is doing more processing. When I came up, I realized that while my unconscious mind had accepted everything in the file, it had made adjustments to myself that hadn't been part of the file. Acceptance of myself feels so good, and often results in one of two things for me: resolve towards the future, or just pure bliss that allows me to unburdened by things I have yet to achieve. However, those feelings don't always lead me to achieving those future goals. I felt the need to work on recognizing and breaking down my goals into smaller goals and problems. So that's what I did. A second listen, one day later, left me feeling the need to make additional progress towards getting answers to those problems/goals. I believe the adjustment that was made was a link between the feeling of self-acceptance and making small progress so that I am a little closer to my goals than I was prior.
