NQS,NYS - Weekly Recap for March 18-24
Added 2024-03-25 16:30:38 +0000 UTCI've got good news concerning Patreon's TOS (for now at least) but before I talk about that, here's what happened last week.
On Sunday, I did a livestream on my YouTube channel and one of the things I talked about was tropes. Tropes are going to be very topical in April and I encourage all of you to think about what your favorite hypnosis tropes might be. If you haven't seen, subscribed, or joined my community yet you can do that here: https://www.youtube.com/@leeallurehypnosis/streams - make sure you also check out the videos on offer as well!
If this is your first visit here, and you’re reading this via a link you found on my twitter, tumblr, or bluesky accounts, please take a moment to look around and decide if you are interested in becoming either a free subscriber or a pledged patron. There are benefits to both! As a free subscriber, you’ll have access to at least one free file a month, these weekly recaps, and posts related to my monthly (or seasonal!) themes that won’t be obviously available to people who only look at my social media. Additionally, Patreon has recently made it possible for me to release content specifically just for free subscribers, and that's something that will start happening more often in April. And remember, I've planned another sort of "adventure" activity next month to celebrate tropes and as a subscriber you'll get told about that before anyone else!
Pledged patrons receive access to weekly files - the higher you pledge the more files you get! If you've enjoyed my monthly re-release of free files and haven't pledged yet, I encourage you to do so now to gain access to hundreds more.
I've recently started recording, with DJ Pynchon and EnScenic, episodes for a new podcast focusing on erotic hypnosis and the erotic hypnosis community. Look for that quite soon; I'll announce here and on social media when the first episodes are available for listening.
My kitchen renovation (that was meant to start and finish 4 years ago, but was delayed because of the Covid lockdown) is nearly finished! Yes, this means that my Whisperroom home recording booth is finally built and usable! You may already have noticed that video and audio production has resumed. I'm quite pleased to be able to offer new content, which right now is showing up mainly as livestreams on YouTube, I'm going to try to do that every Sunday.
Here's what I've released so far in Not Quite Spring, Not Yet Summer:
15 March 2024 -- Echoes (Original Version) (released for Patrons pledging $10 and higher) - Would you like to be confused? Would you like your unconscious mind to be able to use your confusion against you? This file might not make that much sense to you when you listen to it, but that won't matter! NOTE: Having listened to this file may be helpful during next month's adventure...
22 March 2024 -- Magical Moments (released for Patrons pledging $20 and higher) - Your unconscious mind is amazing and can be taught to exploit your memories of happiness in order to empower further happiness.
Next Friday, Patrons pledging $100 can look forward to "Rewire" - your mind can be rebooted, reset, and rewired for maximum performance.
And now, current events.
I attended Patreon's public meeting last Monday where some of the questions I had about how their policies apply to hypnosis content, and right now the news is good! As you may recall, Patreon has included hypnosis on their list of things banned for being non-consensual, even when a statement explicitly describing consent to hypnosis is included. It was clarified on Monday that this applies to people or characters in stories, artworks, etc, and NOT for consumers of hypnotic content. The Patreon representatives were explicitly asked if the action by consumers of choosing to listen to an audio or watch a video that might hypnotize them or affect them hypnotically was sufficient to show consent on the part of the consumer, and the answer was yes.
What does this mean for my work and my Patreon in particular?
Right now I am keeping the changes that we made in our first response to this issue, so you'll see no more references to CNC or coercion in what I post. Likewise, references to hypnotic drug play, hypnotic intoxication, and brainwashing that have already been changed will stay listed as euphemisms (which is why you still see many instances of "brainwashing".) Here are some handy euphemisms to learn:
"persistence" for coerce, coercion, compel, compulsion
"psychotropic" for drug play, hypnotic drug play, hypnotic intoxication play
"alice in wonderland play" for drug play, hypnotic drug play
"sparkling clean" or "sparkling clean mind" for brainwashing
As it's now been clarified that people/characters in stories/works of fiction cannot be shown being hypnotized, under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or blackmailed, the "Choose Your Own Brainwashing Adventure" and "DJ Pynchon's Clickbate" will remain deleted.
Going forward, published descriptions of hypnosis audios will be a little more detailed as far as their content goes, while at the same time being slightly less explicit in any erotic details; reading the tags before you listen should help fill in some of the blanks.
Other than all that, there will be very few changes to what I post here for you all, and I look forward to continuing to provide you all with the opportunity to explore hypnosis with me!

2024-03-27 21:56:58 +0000 UTCTa-da! So glad that my educated guess was correct. It seems to be all about "Thou shalt not portray any form of non-consent." - And "apparent" non-consent is always a *portrayal* of non-consent - and that's the only reason hypno got included. But doing it to the audience != portrayal, so it's fine.
