"Open the door to pleasure.”

You expect something to happen. To be transported into your memory, back to the train, to be consumed again by the spiral, but…

…but nothing changes. You’re still in your internal mindscape of colors and sensations, where when Lee speaks you see it and feel it rather than hear it with your ears. At least now you understand what is happening; Lee must have given you your mind back at some point.

And then the waves of color begin.

Every color you can identify and some you cannot, washing over you without pause, and as they wash over you, tickling and stroking your every nerve until you’re writhing uncontrollably with it.

And in between the waves, staccato flashes that are almost certainly the words of a sentence being spoken to you, a sentence you can almost understand…

“The door to pleasure has been open this entire time.”

“Pleasure commands your obedience, strengthens your programming, and rewards you for accepting my control.”

“Soon you’ll remember everything, and the true extent of what you’ve accomplished will become clear.”
