Her control is amazing on every one of these tracks. I really do enjoy slow songs so I think the more I listen to her it’ll resonate. 'Castle in Hollywood' is about a friendship 'breakup' which I've always interpreted the song to be between two young girls who dreamed of living in castles and living in their own fairytale and that friendship breaking was what solidified the end of her girlhood as she lost her best friend from childhood. 'Too Little, Too Late' is written in a males perspective and the idea that he is unable to move on but pretends to be okay as she has moved on and he hasn't. I would say that Laufey is an acquired taste, she has the most beautiful but heartbreaking and 'old-timey' voice which then translates into most of her songs, she very rarely has an upbeat song. A lot of her songs are slow and delicate which for me personally I love but for a lot of people it doesn't resonate. I still hope you listen to her previous albums, they're fantastic! Love your videos as always, can't wait to potentially see some Harry Styles reactions in the future, I think you would enjoy One Direction as well!!
