The Born This Way Ball Tour (FIRST REACTION)

Comments

This was my first ever concert in LA without a parent. And also just in a stadium. It was INSANE, I was liberated at an 18 year old 🫶🏼 also it truly amazed me that she was only 26 here!

James Henry II

So I just entered a contest to win tickets to go see the mayhem ball at Madison Square Garden for two people and Juke goddamnit if I win, I’m taking you brother can you imagine that would be fun that would be so much fun

Justin Funk

There's just something about the Born This Way Ball Tour that gets me so hyped up and emotional like no others, not even Mayhem with Coachella or Copacabana. It's so unapologetically inclusive, thematically and theatrically stunning, with Gaga's fierce vocal performances and unabashed, unrelenting sociopolitical messages about kindness and acceptance ❤️ She's just SO DAMN COOL!

Hoàn Đỗ

So glad we got to see your reaction to this!! Did you manage to get tickets to see the Mayhem ball? xoxoxoxox

Elishya

You are such a great human Danny and you should be proud of how much of a good inspiration you are to the world, we need more people like you in this crazy world we live in. Keep being you ❤️❤️❤️

Andrew James

You need to react to gagas cover of whats up by 4 non blondes at the artrave is unbelievable xx

Sky

A couple of "fun" facts for the tour: -The kid in the orange jacket is called Atticus -he was actually just interviewed by Spotify back in October talking about him dancing with her. -The area in that U-shaped part of the stage was called the Monster Pit and you couldn't buy tickets to get in - you just had to have a GA ticket and be at the arena really early. The first person in line received a key for the Monster pit which was a necklace and their photo was posted on Gaga's social media plattform. She always brought a lot of people backstage - mostly from the Monster Pit but also from the GA. -Originally the show included the guns. I believe a couple of school shootings happened while she was on tour so she cut all the guns, especially for the US leg. That's f.e. why her bra sometimes had the guns and sometimes didn't. Also a youtube account called Venompresents did amazing videos for this tour - f.e. Bloody Mary has amazing quality.:)

Chiara Ba

And even after watching it 100 times I still don't know how they moved her and the dancers in Bloody Mary or the bike in Heavy Metal Lover...

Chiara Ba

I'm so glad you watched this! I've been lucky enough to see every single one of her tours and all of them were phenomenal but the Born this way ball always stood out to me. The fashion and the stage is literally just insane and I loved her interaction with the fans during this era. This is probably my 100th watching a recording of it but it just doesn't get old!

Chiara Ba

Please tell me you’re gonna be able to see gaga live!!! She is absolutely phenomenal 😍😍

Sky

I remember when I saw the born this way ball i was 9 years old i was in shock seeing my favourite artist perform first time i got to stay up past 1am she was my 1st concert

Gracelynn Timlock

OK, well here we go for a second time something went wrong it said but anyway I was saying, I just finished watching this and I don’t even know where to begin with you. You were hilarious on this whole thing. I almost took out my notes and started writing the different points that I wanted to talk on when describing how funny you are the same talking about Mark‘s butt that was hilarious. I love you and that’s how we all know you’re really straight ha ha ha ha. I do have to say, I forgot when you were doing the art raids dive to tell you that I did go to that one, although I was partially or something under the influence of a drug, but I do have videos of it and then the other one I saw which you’re gonna go into shortly is the monster ball and I saw that twice I took my mother with me the second time to see it, and my mother was a sheriff, but it was so funny to take her because the Scissor Sisters opened for her and I did not know that they were gonna do that. They opened with a song called take your mama out all night, which is hilarious cause I took my mama out all night (now dearly departed). It was hilarious because the main singer wore Assless chaps with nothing underneath so yes, bare butt hole and all and my mom had the time of her fucking life. It was amazing. She even had a margarita. lol. So I can’t wait for you to see the monster ball cause that one that’s the one friend that is the one where I realize holy shit. This is someone I’m down. Sorry you guys voice text

Justin Funk

Oh my God OK I just finished watching your reaction to this! Ha ha ha ha ha ha I honestly don’t even know where to begin. This is the funniest one you’ve ever had talking about Mark’s little butt that’s hilarious and again that’s how they gay people know that you’re straight ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha you said so many things in this that were just like I had to watch them again because it was just ridiculous. I think that’s pretty much all I have to say yeah I was actually planning on taking little notes on what you had to say because you were really like beyond on this one so I almost like opened my notes and was like gonna take notes on which things to touch points on when leaving this reaction to your reaction, but I literally can’t even I literally can’t even you were so hilarious and I cannot wait to move forward with you my friend I actually saw and I think I forgot to tell you I went to the art rave I was under the influence of something so thank God I have the videos I remember most of it but anyway, and I also saw the monster ball two different times and I took my mother with me dearly departed the second time and she had a blast! To tell everyone a little story here when I took my mom the scissor sisters opened for Lady Gaga and the main singer, more ass chaps with no underwear butthole hanging out and everything and saying take your mama out all night and my mom was rocking out and I was just like oh my God I’m mortified but my mom was rocking out and I was like well. This is just like perfectly fitting for a Lady Gaga concert because it fits because I’m taking my mama out all night.

Justin Funk

Born This Way Ball and Joanne World Tour were the only tours we haven't gotten professional footages released, which sucks A LOT. That pit she circles around during some songs is called the Monster Pit and Little Monsters who arrived early to the avenue would be selected to fill that space. By the end of the show, she'd always choose some lucky ones to see her backstage.

Túlio

Born This Way is the only album I don't have a copy of. Dang it! But happy to see my name on the wheel, tho. Hihi Great reaction, as always! This tour might be my favorite show from her, alongside Gagacabana (mainly because I was there). 🩷

Túlio

This!

Justin Funk

I’m glad this brought back some of those great memories and I agree about how passionate she sounded during this. She was on a mission to leave the world a better place. She’s still consistent in that nature to this day 💙 This was an incredible show!

Daniel Juke

Thanks for following the journey with me Justin! You always leave something good on here for me to read so I appreciate it

Daniel Juke

I couldn’t tell you! If your comment was deleted Patreon or a mod would tell me. Patreon is glitchy sometimes so I’m sorry for the inconvenience!

Daniel Juke

I’ll double check but if not then we’ll add it on!

Daniel Juke

Always good to try to find the silver lining. She seems very healthy today. Isn’t it crazy how she was able to continue through that though? She’s badass

Daniel Juke

I love hearing stories about how she has impacted her fans. That’s so cool that you got to experience that show. I hope this brought back great memories!!

Daniel Juke

I love that you have that memory!! You got to witness history in person and nobody can take that away from you. Very cool!

Daniel Juke

Hope you had a good time with me!

Daniel Juke

This was such a treat and brought back so many great memories for me! I’m so glad fans took plenty of videos so that they could assemble this. BTW, one of the songs she performed on piano was the unreleased song ‘Princess Die’, which she references in ‘Perfect Celebrity’ in MAYHEM. Can’t wait for you to experience TFM - you’ll love it, and especially excited for you to see the Bad Romance MV! Excited for you to hear the studio recordings of so many of her ‘classics’/big hits, which you’ve only seen performed live/in concerts so far, and to see TFM aesthetics! 🔥🔥🔥

Christopher West

Orange jacket is the most famous little monster. That motherfucker lived everybody's dream and killed it ! That's an icon idc.

Dylan

Wow this is such a treat 🤭 thanks for your time Juke and for the giveaway congrats Luis!!! So glad we have so much fan footage from the BTWB it really is such an uplifting show and message from her to us, a snapshot in time that I feel so sentimental about. Cant believe you’re diving into the fame monster my excitement needs to be contained omfg 🫨 one of the most iconic definitive eras in pop music forever.

MadeleineMars

Gaga didn't break her hip in that moment on stage. People always get confused by this. Her hip didn't break, it was wearing out way before that show in Montreal. Gaga had been in constant pain for months, but she blamed it on herself, not being fit enough, being too tired. She started smoking a lot of weed to sooth the pain. She would smoke, sleep, perform her ass off and do it all again. Before the Montreal show she met a fan named Emma, who is wheelchair dependent who was there with her mom. The three of them started talking about chronic pain and it seems this conversation made Gaga realize that what she was experiencing was real and that she needed medical attention. The next day she was hospitalized and they found a hole in her hip and she had to have surgery. Gaga befriended Emma and gave her a job at the Born this way foundation.

Marjol

Congratulations!!!

Justin Funk

I’m watching it right now I’m glad I was born this way this was my coming out era

Luis Castillo

I think this is her best concert to date (maybe because I went when she came to Colombia). Even though she still speaks about relevant topics and has been an ally forever, you can see the passion when she spoke at the time. Watching this made me remember that day and how happy I was. I'm hoping she comes back to Latam with the mayhem ball so that 17-year-old George can see her again.

George

On to the fame monster!!!😁

Blood Smoke76

My original post was congratulations Luis!!!!! and Daniel, It’s so sweet of you to do these giveaways and I was so excited to see that my name was in the running. I watched the Born This Way ball on YouTube back in the day when it was only available song by song and I haven’t seen it since so I’m excited to be watching the rest of this with you and all of the other little monsters here.🫶🏻🙌🏻

Justin Funk

I don’t know what happened here, but I could’ve swore. I posted 45 minutes ago when I started watching this reaction..

Justin Funk

Do you have the FAME short film on the deep dive? It was also part of the BTW era! https://youtu.be/LkufSDcyafk?si=FX6Pewhv7qyD9iMl

Emika

Reliving the part where she broke her hip hurts my heart but also made me happy giving what she's overcome

ben davis

I went to the Born This Way Ball in 2012 when he came to Chile 🇨🇱. I was 16 years old; now I'm 29, and it's still the best concert of my life. The album holds a special place in the hearts of everyone who went through difficult times during that period. Thanks for your reaction!

Josue Guerra

The Born This Way Ball is so iconic I was in the monster pit the first and second night in Los Angeles and it was like a religious experience for me! This stage definitely reminded me of The Mayhem concerts! Same vibes but very different

Jesse Nemick

YESS been waiting for this one
