So I wanted to tell you all what I've been up to. My hustle game has been strong this January, I've impressed even myself! So I thought during this time of healing and being off of work I'd be focusing on music with a side of photography and it turns out I've done photography with a side of photography instead! Ha! I'm IN LOVE! I still have ideas for music- like I want to get a small mixing board or look further into what I remember from audio school so I can make *proper* music videos that easily sync between the video and audio recorded, so I can launch my Living Room Sessions with other musicians and record stuff on not just my iPhone. Anyhow! It's on my to-do list, for sure. I can envision it and it's gooooood.
Back to the photography update:
I started doing a natural light special for January and called it the Winter Light Sessions in my living room boudoir, and I figured I'd maybe do three shoots and instead I ended up shooting with seven different ladies in the month. And then I got the urge to take my camera down to The Strip, and then I became hooked on live photography, and wound up going down there a couple different nights to capture the dancers. I also took my camera up to Ucluelet before all of this so I could get a sense of wtf is ISO and Aperture and how does shutter speed affect all that shit. Photographing waves in bright sunlight versus a rainy day was good lesson material for all that!
Just this past week, John and I did a proper photoshoot of me in the boudoir, and took waaaay too many photos, but I'm super super pleased with them and there's lots of good content for all of you, plus I'm planning to submit some of the images to some magazines, cross your fingers for me! Super, super classic pin up shots in some new agent provocateur lingerie that I'm very happy in. We also did a photoshoot for The Granville Strip to help update their branding (I've been also working as an instagram promo girl for them this month) and I'm really stoked on the images we did. But again... waaaay too many photos. I think learning to take *less* photos is probably a skill. :P
Also! I have decided I *do not care* to make separate galleries with passwords and all that shit. I think passwords for my strip videos totally makes sense, but I straight up do not have the time, energy, or desire to be doing the admin work required to upload photos to galleries, yada yada. It's annoying AF, and I'd rather just post photos in here directly regularly and people will pay when Patreon charges them and I won't give a second thought to when that is or if people are accessing my work before they pay. I feel like I've got a pretty solidly loyal group of patrons here, and I'm happy.
I hope you're all doing well! I return to the stage this Thursday!! If I'm feeling comfy with it I'll try to get some video clip action going for y'all.
