This is exactly why I never kept up with them, its just sad theres no evolution. This is why I love Linkin Park and stuff because the just did what they loved and didnt care about just pumping out Hybrid Theory and Meteora over and over. Three Days Grace (before the split with Adam) did the same. Great lyrics and evolving sounds without letting go of their vibe. Awesome review and reaciton. Not often you get the honesty

I also enjoyed her last album released in 2022 but I long for songs that hold a bit more substance. I can't wait for her next album. her voice has always been incredible, the notes she can hit and the power she carries has never faltered. I 100% believe Avril Lavigne is an incredibly underrated vocalist

2025-05-16 23:12:30 +0000 UTCI spent my entire teens listening to all these bands you mentioned and they were kind of mainstream at the time and now we have a totally different music scene, that's why maybe I get so nostalgic when I hear something like that, but I completely agree with what you said about them not having grown up with the audience and about there being hundreds of versions of the same song, because that's exactly what it is (no offense)
