I'm not sure where it would fit in to your journey, but you should also check out Lady Gaga's 2015 Oscars performance where she did a tribute to The Sound of Music...it was amazing! It really showed a whole new audience what an amazing singer she really is.

2025-02-26 17:19:05 +0000 UTCI had to delete my initial comment cause I realized I was an emotional wreck after the movie last night haha; but I wanted to say I think that’s why this movie has been remade 4 times since the 30s, it’s always either an aspiring actress/singer who meets this really famous guy who gives them the world, but then he declines from alcoholism before shockingly ending their life near the end, has always shocked audiences and been relevant enough to be told for this long now; but also I wanted to answer something you noticed at the beginning. That’s what the 4 nooses on the billboard at the beginning were foreshadowing, though in prior iterations the celebrity man lies to the woman and says they’re going for a swim, and instead they go to the beach and swim out from the Shallow and drown themselves, which makes this whole song foreshadowing to a degree
