I was a little bit worried when I was writing this script/coming up with the idea for this audio to be perfectly honest lol. It's not necessarily the most spooky scary thing in the world, but I feel like not everything in the Halloween season has to be incredibly scary. Plus, since The Arcana game is literally centered around Tarot and tarot readings, I thought that it would be appropriate. I hope everyone enjoys regardless!

Julian: In other places besides Vesuvia....this time of year is dedicated to the macabre, the frightening....and things that perhaps cannot be explained....

The veil between this world and the next is believed to be the thinnest during this time, and spirits, magic, spirituality are stronger, and can reveal truths that perhaps even those who go searching for them, are unprepared to learn.

*chuckles softly* I've experienced many things in my life that I don't think I will ever truly understand, дорогой (dorogoy) {Darling}, but that doesn't mean that I allow it to keep me from continuing to pursue them....

*pause*

You've had this tarot deck for quite some time...haven't you?

I'm sure you're aware that others will use these to not only interpret the present, but predict the future? You can ask a nearly unlimited amount of questions, and receive guidance, and once again, a truth you may not be willing to hear.

Oh, no, I'm not directly trying to frighten you or anything.....or really.....make fun of you, I apologize if it seemed that way......

*pause*

How did you come by this deck anyway? I've heard of traditions that tarot must be given, or it calls out to you......

*pause*

*flatly* Oh. I see. Asra.......

*swallows* Ah, forgive me again....that was.....I know how.....it makes sense.....that it would be he who gave it to you.......

*long pause*

I have an idea.....if you're willing to hear it?

If you'll allow it.......we can draw cards for one another......participate in tradition...…I think it might be fun.......unless.....you're afraid to potentially meet the truth?

*chuckles softly* I kid, I kid.......

R-really? You think......?

Alright then......let's do it......

Would you like me to go first? I'm not necessarily the most competent with these, but I've done some studying.....so hopefully I can be accurate.......get the amateur out of the way first, shall we?

The......The Fool, upright......Beginnings, freedom, innocence, adventure, and idealism......are some of the things that come to mind.....

The.....The Fool depicts a youth walking joyfully into the world. They are taking their first steps, and they are exuberant, joyful.....excited. Caring not much for the possible dangers that lie ahead. Indeed, they are about to encounter the first of those possible dangers, for they're about to topple over the cliff they're reaching. However, it doesn't seem to concern them.

The Fool Card is an Archetype...and numbered Zero......which is considered to be a number of infinite potential. Considered a blank slate, a symbol of innocence, their journey will shape their character yet......

The uh....The Fool generally means the beginning of a new journey, one where you will be filled with optimism, and freedom from the usual constraints of life....there are little worries, and.....The Fool doesn't seemed troubled that they cannot tell what they will encounter ahead.....

They....inspire courage.....for they understand that every day is a chance to open up new areas in their life....and with that comes a mixture of anticipation, wonder, awe.....and curiosity.....

The Fool is there to show you that you can never really tell what lies ahead, and you can only greet it....with joy......

*pause*

*clears throat* But I'm sure that you knew all this already......interesting though....isn't it......that you have troubles with your memories sometimes.....and it references a blank slate.......uh, not to say that you are blank or an actual fool in any way!

*pause*

I also don't think it's necessarily a bad thing, to draw The Fool.....you are a *very* curious person, and you do take everything that life seems to throw at you.....you....you are on a journey.....aren't you....?

*long pause*

*chuckles* Here....why don't you shuffle them this time? It is your deck after all.....I'm sure now you're going to draw some card that will be a slight insult to me as well? Does the deck have a tendency to do that? I've heard from other fortune tellers that each deck has a personality of their own, and some of them can be downright rude and----

*chuckles warily* W-what.....what is it?

The.....The Hanged Man......?

I......Yes....I...I remember the meaning.....of the card......

*clears throat* S-sorry......my throat....something about it.......nevermind I.....

The Hanged man, represents s-sacrifice, waiting.....uncertainty....lack of direction....

It depicts a man who is suspended upside-down, and hanging by his foot from the living world tree. This tree is rooted deep down in the underworld, and it is known to support the heavens. It's believed that.....that the man is hanging there of his own free will......

The Hanged Man understands that his position is a sacrifice that he needed to make in order to progress forward.......whether as.....repentance for past wrongdoings.....or a calculated step backward to....recalculate his path onward......His well.....his upside-down state can also symbolize the feeling of those who walk a spiritual path, for they see the world differently.....where there are others that do not understand the.....the need for sacrifice, he sees it differently.....The Hanged Man card reflects a particular need to suspend certain action. As a result, this might indicate a....certain period of....indecision......

*shaky breath* I suppose......I was right......your deck.......it is not one to....coddle is it?

*clears throat* I'm.....I'm alright......something.....my head is hurting.....just a little......

The Devil......reversed......

So.....if it's reversed.....then....the upside-down meaning could perhaps be......the moment when a person becomes......self-aware....and begins to.....break all of the chains that they're tethered to......in need of a change??

Breaking these chains however.....is not easy.......one has to be prepared to....make the necessary changes that might seem painful to make at the start but.....will in the end.......allow them to be their true selves again.....

*pause*

I suppose.....we're both tethered.....in some way......aren't we......

A headache....that is......*chuckles* A---a strange coincidence is it not? Perhaps......are you burning any new incense or anything of the sort? I know sometimes new scents can irritate the sinuses in the beginning......would explain my throat....and our heads........

It's alright, I'm sorry that you're in pain as well......

*chuckles* In the beginning....I did suggest this....as a potential to perhaps.....frighten you a little....as a.....sort of....celebration for this time of year......seems I went too far.......I apologize,  дорогой (dorogoy) {Darling}.
