~September Monthly Theme Poll~
Added 2020-09-01 19:00:03 +0000 UTCIt's that time again to pick what theme we're going to go with this month! It's been a little over a year since we started doing Monthly Theme Polls, so I'm going to try to keep the themes new and interesting, while also maybe once again putting forward some old themes that didn't get picked before! So for September of this year, We have:
Autumnal Equinox: A celebration of the beginning of fall along with the ending of a long summer and the coming harvest and winter ahead (if you're in the northern hemisphere of course lol). There are also other spiritual observances that coincide with the equinox that are celebrated. So let's all have fun with what is most people's favorite time of year.
National Recovery Month: This observance talks about substance abuse as well as mental illness, and while I don't have any experience with substance abuse, I thought it would be a good theme to talk about mental illness and successes with recovery as well as awareness and comfort and support. Demonstrate the humanity and the person behind the struggles, as it were.
Positive Thinking Day : I know positive thinking can be and is extremely hard considering all that's going on in the world right now. It can be hard to have motivation for positivity, and can be hard to try to lift up and evoke it in others. This month, I would like to try to inspire listeners, lift them up, and try to keep things as positive as we can. Offer advice, comfort, and maybe even a little bit of hope if possible.
Voting for a theme will end on the fifth of this month! So go ahead and vote!
I also want to let you all know that I desperately wanted to find a way to fit Tolkien as a theme since this month has Hobbit day and National Tolkien week, but unfortunately I don't think it'll work too well lol.
