No matter what you decide, whether you want to strip down or not.....that there's nothing wrong with your body, and that I don't think less of you either way what you decide.

Easy for me to say?

I have an incredibly fast metabolism, and I have a hard time keeping muscle if I don't keep at it......

Yes, the monster hunting was one of the things that helped me keep at it, but when I was a child, *scoffs* all skin and bones....

Ugh, honestly you should have seen me when I was out of practice, nearly incapable of fighting without landing on my arse more than once, I just didn't have the speed or the strength, or hell, the nutrition to even do it right. Living on alcohol and whatever scraps I could find for the longest time didn't do me any favors.  Besides,the only reason that I was ever competent in the first place is the fact that I've had that shit drilled into me from a young age.....

*pause*

Do you think that's why you struggle with your self body image?

It was just a thought......if something like that was drilled into you from when you were a child, that you need to look a certain way to be successful, or to be loved, or to be considered 'valuable', that's liable to stick with you, isn't it?

Not that I'm saying that's why you feel the way that you do, I was using the term, 'you' as an um--an all encompassing term...and it was just......a thought that I had....

*pause*

A lot of what influences how we live and grow and learn comes from what we were subjected to--or exposed to if you want a less negative word--as young children. We take children's intelligence for granted, you know. They're little sponges of learning, people always say.....but they never comment about how they can be sponges for negative things as well. 

*pause*

I know you've probably heard this before, whether it was a friend, or a loved one, or even your own internal narrative but......you know that what you look like doesn't equal worth, right? Despite the fact that I think you look absolutely perfectly lovely all the time. I recognize you for more than just what you happen to look like.

The passion that you have, that drives you through every day....the loyalty that you have towards your loved ones, the love that you have towards those you care for, and the compassion you have for those whom you don't. Your optimism for life and what the future holds......those are just some of the things that I've noticed about you, that are worth far more to this world and the things and people in it than what you look like, or whether or not you fit into some.....impossible standard.

I don't know if my word has any sway towards you, but as I said before, I think that you always look fantastic, because you look alive, you look human, and I know you for who you are, for the qualities that others don't, and knowing those things completes the picture of your entire self, and shows me the you that you really are.

Plus.....I just think you're plain attractive, but that's neither here nor there....

*laughs as he gets splashed*
