2025-11-08 18:49:31 +0000 UTCI sure did, thanks a lot. It was a lot of work, but in a fun way. I was only nervous due to how slow I had to go with this arc. No big fights, no dramatic dialogues, just slow, criplling build up of dread.

I bet when he succeeds, instead of granting the emotions themselves, he grants a seed of the ability to feel at all... and he'll need to experience life himself to grow them. so much of people's emotions are their personality, so I feel like forcing fake emotions on himself wouldn't work... I *could* see something happening where he tries an experiment to see if he can give himself emotions but being disappointed that there's still muted... and he studies and studies and then someday, he realizes that lisch has died/or is dying and realizes he can feel it... it would be a bitter sweet start to his journey to connect with people, and would mirror frieren's realization after himmel died. edit: I also wonder if growing emotions is more about him putting in the effort to enjoy things than him getting a magic pill that will make him feel again. once the capacity is restored, there will still be work to do.
