- NEW Feature: Now you can keep the transparent background of the GIF after frame interpolation by enable [Keep Alpha Channel] at image settings tab.
- NEW Feature: Now GIF also supports [Target FPS] mode of frame interpolation.
- Update settings presets.
- Now waifu2x will automatically correct the FPS of the GIF output to improve compatibility with media players.
- Improve synchronization between the interpolated GIF and the source GIF.
- Improve code related to reading GIF duration to enhance compatibility with edge cases.

I just shot the first 25 videos at 1080@30fps>>> 4K@60fps with the new RIFE 4.26. Awesome!!! Superb quality and fluidity. The small, sporadic imperfections of the RIFE 4.16 are gone... even though that RIFE actually worked very well. THANK YOU SO MUCH, AARON!!!

2025-06-08 14:04:05 +0000 UTCI'm testing the new Rife 4.26... I was previously using 4.16. The speed seems about the same... maybe a little slower. For a 1-hour video from 1080p 30 fps to 4K 60 fps, it used to take about 3 hours... now it only seems 5 minutes longer. What I've noticed is that during the frame interpolation process, the graphics card lags more. Very happy... Thanks Aaron :) I'll let you know what I think after working on a certain number of videos. My PC: 13900K CPU (delid), RTX 4090, 128GB DDR5 4800MHz XMP RAM
