Patreon - FAQ

These FAQ will be updated as necessary and are subject to change.

Q: When can I redeem my reward(s)?

A: You can redeem your reward(s) anywhere between the 1rst and 20th of each month. This is to ensure that all rewards are out by the month's rollover.

Q: I pledged on the 20th of [insert month]. Can I redeem a reward for that month?

A: Yes! If you are pledging for the first time and you start your pledge after the redemption period of the month, you may send in your reward request right away. However, you must be sure to send in your next request before the 20th the next month!

Q: I upgraded my pledge during the month. Can I redeem rewards for both tiers?

A: To keep it fair for everyone, backers are only permitted to redeem ONE tier of rewards a month. That means if you pledged $15 at the beginning, and upgraded to $50, you can only redeem either the $15 tier OR the $50 tier reward. They do not stack.

Q: I had to lower my pledge during the month, do I still get the reward for the higher tier?

A: Yes! You can still redeem the higher reward tier even if you lower your pledge within the month. 

Q: How do Goals work? Are they permanent after they're reached?

A: As long as a goal is fulfilled at the first of the month, backers may redeem the additional reward for the month that the goal was fulfilled.

• The goal MUST be fulfilled by the first day of the month to be redeemable during that month.
• If the goal for any reason isn't met the next month then it will not be eligible for redemption.

Q: Where can I find your goal status?

A: You can find my goal status on the "My Membership" page of my Patreon. Sometimes Patreon moves it around, but that's usually where it hangs out. Goal bonuses are also noted as such within my tier listings themselves.

Q: Can I resell/trade adoptables that I get from you?

A: Adoptables obtained through the Goal Bonus rewards are not eligible for resale. If I see you reselling them for profit, you may be ejected from your pledge and barred from my Patreon. Patrons however, may gift or trade them for other characters at their disclosure. [Letting me know who you gave them away to is appreciated, so I know no one stole your adoptable.]

Q: How do I opt-in for my Pin Reward?

A: If you are a patron during the month the bonus pin reward was reached, you must opt in DURING the first month that it was fulfilled during your pledge. You cannot redeem it outside that month. 

This goal was first reached in March, so all reward-tier Patrons pledged during that month were given a form to fill out for their pin [see post]. Subsequent pledges from new patrons will receive an order form to fill out through personal DM.

Specific terms apply for this pin >>

• Pins are a complementary item issued as a goal bonus on Patreon. They are not part of the base price or reward[s] for any Patreon tier and therefore are not eligible for refunds or exchanges.
• While these pins are complementary, tracking is not. Pins are shipped without tracking by default. Those wanting tracking will be invoiced a $10CAD fee when pins are ready to ship. Please note shipping is nonrefundable.
• GODBIRDART [myself] is not liable for lost or stolen mail. 
• I will not replace lost pins.
• You may be responsible for shipping fees if your pin is returned to sender.
• The address you enter MUST BE CORRECT. If your address changes between now and the ship date, you, the patron, are responsible for updating me with the new address via email.

Q: Can I switch my reward around? / Trade in a sketch for another telegram sticker?

A: I offer these exchanges  for rewards:

Chibi > can be exchanged for one Telegram Sticker

Sketch > can be exchanged for two Telegram Stickers

I do not offer exchanges for Telegram stickers to get another chibi or a sketch.

Q: Can I use my reward to gift art of a friend's OC?

A: You absolutely can! Please send me their reference and pose/theme when redeeming your reward!

Q:  Can I message my reward request through Telegram / Twitter?

A: For the sake of not losing your request, PLEASE email me! I will not answer Patreon-specific questions if DMed on Telegram, Twitter, or any other social media.

Q: Where is your queue located?

A: You can view all pending rewards in my queue on my Trello!

Q: What happens if I miss the 20th deadline?

A: Unfortunately, that means you missed the current month's window. I post reminders at the beginning of the month to encourage everyone to send in their request[s] before the 20th. After that, it is the Patron's responsibility to submit their requests before this date. I begin taking requests for the following month on the 21rst.

Q: If I miss the date, can I get a refund?

A: Patreon pledges include access to exclusive content, such as WIPs, scraps, and other goal bonuses. As your pledge granted you access to these all month, your pledge cannot be refunded even if you aren't viewing [or in the case of adoptable bases, using] this content.

Q: I don't see my character in your queue!

A: I update my Trello daily, but please give me up to two business days to load your request into it. If you haven't received an email response and still don't see your character listed, please email me.

Q: Can I request concept art / a rough sketch of my reward?

A: Due to time constraints, I cannot create concepts for every Patreon reward.

Q: There's an error on my reward [missing marking, wrong colour etc], can you fix this?

A: Absolutely!! Please send me an email and I'll get it fixed for you asap.
