Okay! Episode 16 of Homecoming is 26 pages, and we get to see a lot more of Cindy. I'm in love her attitude - and her hair! 💁🏻♀️

Thank you so much, Nina! Cindy was so much fun to design. She's just so different from Chris and Bella, but her own unique brand of gorgeous. And I'm really happy with how she developed over the course of the episode! As for her words...well, it's hard to say if she's a liar or not, isn't it? Maybe she's been forced into a situation where she has no choice but to betray Chris. Or maybe there's more truth in her words than anyone realizes... After all, we know Chris hallucinates. Heck, he had a conversation with "Kris" in the mirror of his bathroom! So, who knows what else he's seeing and hearing? 😉

And I love the idea of Ben manipulating Kayla using Cindy's story... In fact, how could he not? And the notion of Chris waking up to Bella's voice is chilling. 😱

Yeah, I wanted to hint at the possibility that things might not be as straightforward as they seem, and you picked up on those nuances beautifully. Cindy knows the detective's first name... 🤔 Benjamin must've been too distracted by Cindy's nipples to notice. 🤣

Despiting being (apparently) let go by Bella and her partner (i.e. "The Cunt) she seems to be continuing her life in femininity. Hm. I love your insights into Detective Harris's motivations. This is a similar theory he proposed to Kayla and now it's being confirmed. Coincidence? 😉 Without giving too much away, I can promise that there's much more to Cindy's backstory that will be explored in the next episode - although it may be difficult to separate fact from fiction!

Chris is arguing, even trying to find Cindy for WTF did you betray me for? As Chris is arguing, some orderly - acting on orders Kayla got from a judge, slip up and sedate Chris. He wakes in a sanitorium, being 'treated' for his delusions. He knows they are true memories, but can't convince anyone. Ben wins Kayla. And the doctor 'treating' Chris - has a familiar voice - it's Bella! (Where does reality stop and delusion start?)

She already knows his first name even though t he didn't say it. How can he be that naïve? As always, my muse, knocked it right out of the park.

2023-10-23 20:12:38 +0000 UTCThe next logical step for Detective Asswipe would be to try to find Alan. Say he does, and he gets a story that's different enough to cast doubt on Cindy's story? A few small details differ? Say there's no spa like Cindy claimed? Enough that Cindy's version isn't totally believable, or at least there's serious doubt about it. Of course, Asshat would never tell Kayla that there are some differences, so she'd always believe that poor Chris was delusional. And what about at where Chris was taken? Might there still be old security footage somewhere that shows Cindy approaching Chris? Or Chris being sedated and taken away? Maybe that's still in the police evidence locker, and is part of what Ben said he can't reveal to Kayla. Or something that Ben concealed because he was always very jealous of Chris getting Kayla? The number of possible plot permutations continues to grow, leaving us all wondering what's the next surprise, and whether this can end well for Kris/Chris or not.

(But - a very interesting plot twist that's going to do more messing with Kris' life!) UNLESS: Cindy still feels under threat - or has actually BEEN threatened - so she's acting in self-preservation mode. If she next attempts to contacts Kris to alert her, we'll know Cindy isn't playing straight with the detective, but at incalculable complication to Kris' life. I imagine Ben is going to blab to Kayla that the 'kidnapping' story is BS, which will increase doubt in Kayla's mind, which will ultimately drive Kris away - and into some desperate action? Oh, the delicious twisting and turning of the different plot screws - always to mess with poor Kris!

In relation to the story line (so distracted by beautiful art work), I suspect Detective Harris, with his own bias agenda, will believe the ‘story’ Cindy has cobbled has put together. It is going to further add weight to the narrative he wants Chris’s wife to believe and opens the door for him to displacing Chris as Kayla’s fiancé. Cindy certainly appears to be a complex character from brief snippets revealed in this chapter. As bar tender pointed out indirectly and seeming to teasingly invite male attention only to rebuke such advances. It will be interesting to learn about her back story.
