I do understand this is a pre-release and that it's pretty much free for all. But a lot of SM artists still maintain their identity for pre-releases. I think if they did an experimental song, that isn't so similar structure-wise to NCT, it'd make more sense for them if they wanted to try this genre. Kinda like 'Gnarly' for Katseye. It's experimental and have Neo elements but it's not completely the same structure-wise. But the song is too similar and RIIZE just really don't need to do it.
Note: This wasn't blocked or anything on Youtube but I just wanted to be very candid about this song but you guys know how it is out there when there is a 'controversial' or unpopular opinion. Just protecting my peace and I hate faking it so here it is.

In a more positive note, I'm used to listening to this type of song from 127 so I can easily enjoy this. I also initially thought Siren sounds kinda neo when it first came out and I remember a lot of people (also me) were a bit put off by this fact. So i think Riize actually never shies away from neo coded songs since the beginning. Tho I must say the resemblance this time is uncanny. Another thing is, I thought Supernova by Aespa is also very 127 coded. But in the end, I feel very proud of 127 for stamping their own brand of music that can make people think that certain songs remind them of 127. Now I love both groups and I don't mind Riize doing this kind of song every once in a while. im sure their tittle track will 100% be in their signature style.

2025-05-07 09:30:39 +0000 UTCI actually saw this as a continuation of Siren, i.e., the hip hop side of RIIZE so I don’t particularly find it out of place for the RIIZE discography. I think it’s good that they showcase different sides of themselves and build a varied but still RIIZE-sounding discography, to keep things fresh and keep the interest in them alive. That said, it does sound very NCT though, like I totally imagine 127 or Dream singing this.

I was waiting for Sungchan to show his rapping more..he didn't dissapoint here. Im fine with the trying this kinda genre to guage public opinion..as they continue to find their solid sound. Thinking more i think song composer shld have been NCT genre one. I think main song gonna be experimental emotional pop like summer refreshing..I liked their debut positionality till before this song cuz very different sound on SM

This is very different and experimental for RIIZE but they made it work. They still delivered. 💯 I hope we can all just appreciate the song without comparing it to others. At first, I compared it with neos as well, but once I was able to set it aside, it's really a great great song for RIIZE imo. I get it on first listen ! Most importantly, it's a FULL ALBUM (10 tracks) this time so it's evitable that they will have songs which are different than what they released before. Also, yes this is just pre-release. Do I like their previous songs better? YES! but do I like Bag Bad Back? Also, YES! So I'm gonna hold my thoughts for now and wait for the album release. Because so far, RIIZE has never disappoint me with their music. 🧡
