As requested, I just skimmed most of EP 9. Just pretty much watched and talked about who made it etc. Skipped the speeches and latter half altogether.
Since we included EP 9, I couldn't maintain my energy in EP 10 so I skipped the 'preparation' parts of the second round of performances and individual Jersey moments. Went straight to the announcement.
Final thoughts about the group at the end.

Yeah, at the end of the day, it's a survival some people where not happy with a few of the members. But, yeah JL main vocalist along with Han and center for sure. Yeah, he got 3.1 million points that a huge jump from Woongki with 600k. But he is so talented and he just like another level in terms of overall skills in AHOF. Woongki and Han are both amazing but it's something about JL that's so specail and captivating. Best in technical skills in dancing and obviously top 2 vocalist. But Han and JL technical aspects there the same level. But it's the emotions aspects of his voice that so heartwarming and its moves the soul; its a healing type of voice. Technique is important in singing but it's also important to move the hearts of the people.

He was so loved after the PRISON performance, and we were shocked too. It felt like everyone started silently voting for him without expecting much, but then his rank suddenly jumped from 26 to 9. It’s really unfortunate, but I get that maybe they need Korean members.

2025-04-17 04:11:57 +0000 UTCI think build up got it so wrong. had they not change the format to team vs team, and kept going with the individual voting to form a new group, it would've been much more successful. jay, donghun, seunghun, jeup (with Bain being a great option too) was really the only way to make the majority watching that show be satisfied and support the group after the show. I honestly dont mind the winners of that show but I didnt feel connected enough to support the group afterwards. was really rooting for the ones I mentioned above. but yes I agree it's so hard to penetrate this market. that's why I understand why shuaibo could be very beneficial to the group regardless of where he stands right now talent-wise.

2025-04-17 04:01:53 +0000 UTCaw im glad the other trainees got to have dinner with him! honestly so good to hear how involved changsub is. it's very cool to have someone like him in the industry that could guide them. also about the sign language stuff, sbs has been shit the entire time with developing storylines pre performance and then not showing it off during the actual performance. it's like there are two different editors/directors for rehearsals and performance time 😩

Fans have also suggested to make an NCT-like scenario (debuting subunits) but it was wishful thinking. It was a solid lineup but also a lot of talents lost.

2025-04-16 08:35:31 +0000 UTCThe performances were live but Live shows on these survival programs always turn the backing track right up so it's hard to hear any of the actual vocals for the TV audience unfortunately. I'm so happy with the final line up even though I am also sad about the great members that didn't make it. My main concern was Steven getting in though so I would have been okay with anything as long as he was there lol. All of them were talented guys though- much higher standard than your average survival show. I hope you also react to the content they have released so far as AHOF <3

2025-04-16 08:27:22 +0000 UTCI still hope you react to JL's highest views fan cams in YT for DHTB, Tag and La Fiesta cuz they didn't show just how good he was from the broadcast. And if you can believe it, IMO, JL did not really show all he can do in UL... If you watch fan cam videos from his group, PLUUS, you can see that he still has a lot to show... especially his flirtiness and sassiness. I don't think he was main anything in his own group either but he was always the stan attractor (still is). Also highly recommend watching their TikTok challenges.. You'll see JL's soft and then harder moves, Ju Won's swag, Chih En's improvement, and Han's dance skills that we couldn't see in the show.

You have to see contestants reaction when the name was announced...Everyone was flustered at the name rather than being happy or surprised🤣🤣. Yeah. I also definitely think shuaibo and jeongwoo need to improve a lot. But it always a case with survival shows. Not all the members will be talented straightup, many has potential to grow.We should see if they show such growth during their debut. I am h0ping for it. Now a days apart from Boysplanet other survival show formed teams are not making it big due to lack of proper positioning in market or getting the color or theme of the group right even though they are very talended lets take example of build up, peak time, universe ticket or even project7 (their name is also terrible but they won music show but still ) What do you think Jeff?/??? 2025-04-16 03:37:48 +0000 UTCahhhh, can't believe our UL journey is over 🥺 what a ride! this episode was definitely bittersweet for me, as i've really fallen in love with team groove throughout the show. as for what you missed for the preparation stage for the second performance, it was mostly team groove wanting to highlight the sign language part of the dance. they even made matching bracelets for the members! they made one for changsub too, and he was wearing it in the finale and proudly showed it off to the audience 🥹 i'm still salty that instead of highlighting the sign language portion of the dance, SBS went for either close-up shots of the members' faces or wide shots of the venue and the stage, barely focusing on their hands at all 🤦🏻♀️ team Groove remained soooo active after the show though! Changsub basically wears the team Groove bracelet all the time now lol. he even wore it during his concerts, fanmeets, and even on an official performance video on his channel. he also organized a team dinner a few days after the show! they included the eliminated members and members who had moved to other teams, including Jeongwoo and Hanie ofc. Sirin was also there, so he got the the free dinner at the end, which was nice to see 🥹 there was also a fanmeet that happened recently! the line-up's called Team Great (Groove + Beat) and the members who did the Korean fanmeet were Heejun, Kyungho, Joohyoung, Hanseo, and Jinho. The Japan line is also holding a fanmeet a few days from now--the line-up is Kenta, Gangdong, Kairi, and Yuito. Team Great remains active to this day, with the members doing livesteams almost everyday. Changsub also remains in touch with them, and the Groovies call him often. i truly hope we get to see more of them in the future 😭 i am rooting for AHOF and everyone else who participated on the show ✊🏻

About the group name, it surely grew on me — it sounds alright as long as you don’t think about the full name 🥲

The show is called Debut’s Plan and the trainees are called New Kids. There are 5 episodes out right now. Their most recent challenge was an acting challenge that I think you would enjoy watching and have a lot to talk about! All the episodes are on YouTube on the “New Kids on the Starship” channel. Just an idea for whenever you have an open spot on your schedule!

But if we account the existing members of Team Rhythm, we already have too many rappers so Hanseo may not have a position there anymore. And that's just so sad because I like him very much, he was so good in Hard Carry and have been keeping up with the vocals in Groove. With Jeongwoo being in TR, I think it'll be very unfair if he was not chosen for the finale. haha, because this is the first time TR had a chance to trade with Groove and he will not include it with the final lineup? I think the fans will have an uproar. Another thing with Jeongwoo is even if we said that they are a Global group they will be mainly promoting in Korea. Based on the experience of TR with no Korean members, it was a reasonable option. (remember Don't hit the brakes results, I think that was the reason why they badly need Korean members)

I also feel sad about my pick Li Zhinuo, he ranked 9 during ep 9 but was not even included in the finals. I really like the final lineup but I agree, I'm also worried about Jeongwoo and Shuaibo but I think they are the best at working hard so maybe they will be fine. I just really hope they will not make the group future performances less powerful for those two to catch up bcs the group has so much potential. AHOF sounds 9 in korean, surely not the best name but I guess if you keep hearing it you will just get used to it. I really hope they will have a successful debut. Thanks for reacting to UL, Jeff! He and Lip J had a battle before his audition in Boys Planet and now he is the host and Lip J is a contestant with Korea group Bumsup whose name also I hate! In UNIS (female counterpart of AHOF from the show Universe Ticket) i think the center was not the first place either, so it is not clear how the positions will be assigned. Also if you add UNIS and AHOF together and switch it around you get U FASHION. And since F&F is mainly a clothes label that has their rather new entertainment branch, it could be foundation for a future promotion with the groups. Anyways, AHOF already has some content on YT channel, recommend it lol. Btw. Heejun streams a lot on social media, go follow him everywhere, he brings random friends in the calls as well (like Lea, HueningKais and Bahiyyihs older sister who is like a bestie of Heejun lmao) + calls with other UL trainees. He speaks English a lot there as well.

2025-04-15 20:27:15 +0000 UTCWith Joohyoung, I think he was caught during an off day or was possibly sick when they did the evaluation and was taken off of "Butterfly" because he has shown time and time again to be a very stable performer. And through your whole speech about not being ready for debut and needing more training, I just kept thinking. THIS GUY HAS DEBUTED! He's in Nine.i (same group as Seowon, Woongki's bestie on Boys Planet). Though he did leave the group shortly after Universe League. Him, Heejun, Kyungho, Hanseo, and Jinho (Beat Team leader) did have a fanmeeting together recently and Kyungho and Jinho both signed under the same company Heejun is under, so there's a possibility we might get a group out of them??? But that may be wishful thinking on my part.

2025-04-15 20:08:12 +0000 UTCAs crazy as the set up is for deciding the final line up prior to the finale, I did like that it gave the directors an opportunity to select a few members because we as fans will vote for who we like based on what we see on screen, but the directors have seen them in person and probably know more about them, their abilities, and work ethic . So its nice that they can also choose who they think deserves to go to the finale. Too bad they can't bring back eliminated players like Jiang Fang or Kang Junhyuk. As for the finale, this was the most unpredictable but predictable final line up ever. Going in to the finale, we didn't know how the final line up was going to be chose or how many. people were predicting just one team, one team + 2 MVPs of the other team, One team + top 3 of 2nd place and MVP of 3rd place team, or just the Top 7 contestants overall. But as soon as Jay Park announced that it was going to be 1 Team + 2 MVPs, it was pretty obvious that it was going to be Team Rhythm + Woongki + Park Han. And JL did have incredible pull with his insane global votes. Technically, whichever Team JL ended up on, they would've won. BUT we can't look down upon the rest of Team Rhythm since they also have incredibly high votes. 5 of the top7 are Rhythm and hypthetically speaking, you take out JL and even if you put in the votes of the lowest ranked trainee (ZenZen) Rhythm still would've won overall. Anyways, Overall I'm pretty happy with the line up. The name...yeah not a huge fan, but like with Zerobaseone, WannaOne, and many other group names, It'll grow on me. Personally I was hoping for P.R.I.S.M like the whole show set up but I think there has already been a group called Prism at some point. Pretty sure the finale, like most of these survival show finales, they either have the backing vocals turned up to 100 or it is lipsynced. I'm assuming its so they can have everything running as smoothly as possible since it's live. I will say, one thing I think Jeongwoo does add to Rhythm and AHOF is more height, he can balance out Shuaibo's massive height more lol. And yeah...Jeongwoo likely wouldn't have debuted if TenYang didn't pull him in to Rhythm. But another trainee that was "saved" by Rhythm was Kim Dongyun. Even though TenYang didn't end up using him in either performance and then traded him to Team Groove, by being on Team Rhythm, the winning team, he avoided getting a 2nd yellow card thus saved from elimination and being able to get picked up by Beat again to move on to the finale. And yes, who knew watching Boy Planet and Feel Special performance that Woongki and Shuaibo would go on another survival show and debut together. I will say, I think the tension between the two came more from the fans . Whatever went on between them during Feel Special, wherever resentment they could've had, I don't think they took it past that round of competition. So I'm sure they'll be fine in a group together. And I'm not too worried about Shuaibo's abilities, yes he didn't make INSANE improvement since Boys Planet, but I also don't think he's been formally training since Boys Planet, at least not under a Kpop company. We've seen people a lot less exprienced on these type of shows to make it in to the final group and manage to blend in perfectly fine so I'm sure he'll be great. The biggest difference between Boys Planet Shuaibo and Universe League Shuaibo I think is his confidence. Anyways, I've rambled enougn. Thanks for reacting to this show! It was super fun.

I think changsub knew how hard it is for the older ones too to have another opportunity after this show Don't worry, Changsub took out majority of the trainees who have been under his care to a proper dinner after the show Just gonna fill you in with the behind story of Groove's second performance, they used sign language for the choreo (which sbs failed to show on cam most of the time). Groove members made a team bracelet for them and Changsub, and most of them are still wearing it up to this day and they said they have no plan of taking it off :< others had their broken haha bcs they wear it like 24/7. The lyrics of Groove's last song was like a disbandment song tbh :< Groove will always be my TOTGA group. I never thought I will be so attached with this undebuted group so bad. Hannie is just the STAR that he is. Joohyoung has always been so good from draft rounds 1 and 2, it's jst that he kinda had a struggle in round 3, Joohyoung was a member of nine.i and he composes and produces songs. too. Kyungho is a great leader and dancer also a good vocalist. Kyungho had experiences of making choreographies Heejun and Hanseo are the extra flavor in this Group they just gives the group extra flair. Kenta if surely the face of the group and their Bass Voice Gijoong is a great foundation since he's been in the industry since 2017 Most Groove Trainees are still in contact with Changsub up to this date especially Heejun. Changsub has been wearing the Groove Bracelet they made like even months after the show. Changsub also invited Groove team to his Encore concert and introduced them as his Kids born from his heart. Even the Japanese, and Thailand Groove Members went to his concert in their respective countries. To update you about the other guys, Kyungho, Heejun, Hanseo, Joohyoung, and Jinho (Called themselves Team Great (GRoove+bEAT) had a fanmeet, fancall, and fansign last month. Kenta, Yuito, Kairi, and Gangdong will have their fanmeeting and fancall this month too, Gijoonghad his fanmeeting this month and will have a fansign later day this month too. Heejun, Kyungho, and Jinho are in the same agency right now and are active with doing Tiktok Live Stream. Park Han is still in touch with Groove too. Groove members shared multiple times after the show how Changsub helped them even off filming. They can just come up to him and discuss their worries.
