you could be right honestly! not sure how many vids jj has but i’ve seen the battle ones for sure. that’s how i first found him. i didn’t watch any of the trainee vids as i wanted to wait if they debuted 😅

2025-04-17 07:04:14 +0000 UTCHonestly, I don’t think this whole SMTR25 thing is a survival show or an NCT-style group at all. It feels more like SM is rebranding the old SMROOKIES concept. SM has always been pretty in control of their trainee-to-debut process, and I don’t really see them leaving those kinds of decisions up to netizens. The way they introduced the 11 trainees with individual teasers feels more like a pre-debut promo cycle rather than something competitive. There were more trainees who performed during SM Town, but I think those were just to show that there’s a whole system of trainees behind the scenes. Also, with NCT already having solid units in Korea, China, and Japan, I don’t think SM is trying to recreate that concept. NCT’s structure is already hard to manage, and now that SM has this new “center system,” I doubt they’d go for something as chaotic again. I could be wrong, but for now, my take is that SMTR25 is just a new way to roll out their next boy group. Oh also, just wanted to say, I love seeing you react to JJ/Justin’s dance videos (or any dance content honestly)! I’m not sure if you’ve watched all of them yet, but I absolutely loved your analysis on his dancing, and I’d gladly take more of that any day!🩷🥹 Sorry this was longgggggg

Anyway, just by the visuals alone Hamin is definitely my pick. It might be just me but I thought the SMTR25 stood for SM trainees in 2025. Anyway..I'm so excited for these trainees!

2025-04-12 08:32:02 +0000 UTCI actually agree with this because the very first video was just the vtr of the trainees for the smtown seoul concert (more like showing the world "we have these much talent in our basement") and if my memory serves me right, there was a performance during the concert with these 11 only. Also, the 11 videos and the final 0T11 one were all posted on the official smtr25 page while the VTR video was posted in smtown so my assumption here is no survival show but rather a reality show for these 11 like a riize and realize thing showing their journey to debut i guess but with like a futuristic/their own unique concept. I'll believe my theory more if in the smtown concert in europe only these 11 will perform.

The trio in white during SMTOWN I heard were the maknae line - they're a highlight too but I think they'll be for another group so that's why they're not included here.

My prediction: Songha will be the leader. Nicholas is the center. And Hamin will be the visual.
