Was gonna wait til the show is on but everyone's been watching the performances already and I felt left out lol.

I’m with you on most of these, Jeff! AGSquad and Motiv were easily my favorites. AGSquad has some of my all-time favorite OG members from Royal Family, so I can’t help but fangirl—but even if that weren’t the case, I genuinely preferred their performance over RF. As for Osaka vs. Motiv, my initial reaction was that Osaka had the edge. But after rewatching a few times, I couldn’t help but appreciate how effortlessly groovy Motiv is. Their movements are so smooth and natural, and they have this effortless cool factor that makes everything look easy. I completely fell for their charm. Osaka still put on a great performance, but at this point, I find myself favoring Motiv. Hardcore rooting for Motiv and AGSquad now!

Thanks for reacting to this..and also giving your uncensored opinion love it 😄 I totally feel the same with the winners of each round, only thing I think I prefer USA over Osaka crew. AG squad and Tokyo team fully ATE omg I can't wait to see more of them on the show. Team Korea have my heart h/e their stage definitely seemed kinda off watching it..hope the girlies can get even better throughout the show ❤️

He deserves to be. He is a professional and experienced dancer and perfect for hosting a dance survival show!

2025-03-27 21:56:55 +0000 UTCAccording to AG squad member's tiktok video, they only had 2 days of practice before the shooting, and that probably applies to all teams too. All teams could have made their choreo more polished but can't due to lack of time. My ranking would be: 1. AG squad (has 3 OG Royal Family member who worked alongside Kirsten and Ling) 2. Royal Family (they are the new gen batch of royal family) 3. Motiv (their crew have competed in world of dance 2024, and their B-girl, Logistx, competed in the Olympics Summer 2024.) 4. Osaka OJO gang (they have 2 well known battlers: Ibuki and Kyoka. Apparently, a sister of TWICE Momo is in this crew 5. RHTokyo (This is Rei Hata's team. Tsubakill Rena is in this group) 6. Bums up (they had great intro with the images and serving personality but it kinda fell off. I think they were playing too safe in terms of choreo and complexity.)

2025-03-27 21:09:42 +0000 UTCthis is the copy-choreo mission! each team choreographs a section that the other team will need to copy. so for each performance, there will always be two sections that look ‘similar’ because the teams are supposed to be doing the same choreography. there’s actually a pop-up that appears on the upper-right side of the screen whenever it’s a copy-choreo section. “choreographed by xxx, copied by xxx.” i think you might have been too focused on the dancers themselves to notice 😅 which is understandable. these performances are so good!! i wish the audio mixing was better though, especially with the transitions between songs. some of them felt a little abrupt. my picks for each match-up are: AG SQUAD MOTIV RHTokyo RHTokyo was objectively better than BUMSUP imo. project groups are always tricky, because the members aren’t used to matching each other yet, and team dynamics aren’t established yet either. this really showed in BUMSUP’s performance, i think. putting leaders together begs the question: who’s supposed to take the lead now? each member is so strong, it’s kinda hard to assert what vision/concept/style to follow. i feel like they tried to cater to each member too much, but the cohesion isn’t there yet i’m afraid. but this is the first mission, so i’m hopeful for the other ones! the osaka team is also a project group made for this competition, but they pulled through better in terms of teamwork and cohesion. they actually looked like a group who’s already been working together for a long time. BUT, with the Osaka vs. USA match-up, i still preferred MOTIV’s performance more. i actually really, really liked MOTIV’s performance despite how ‘simple’ it is. it’s just soooo clean and satisfying to watch. their energy matched the songs better too imo. the break dancing was impeccable! which isn’t surprising, considering their b-girl is a literal Olympian. AG Squad vs. Royal Family might have the most M-net drama when the show airs lmao. AG Squad has 3 dancers that were OG Royal Family members. the Royal Family team competing here are actually relatively newer members. so, it’s essentially OGs vs. new gen EXCITING STUFF. CAN’T WAIT FOR MAY.
