Next Comic

last month I had a poll for the game dev tier supporters to vote on the next comic.

先月、私は「game dev」のサポーターに次のコミックを投票してもらった。

+ Metro: cashier girl riding the subway shrinks in a crowd of unaware people.

+ Metro: 地下鉄に乗っていたレジ係の女の子が、人ごみの中で縮こまる。

+ Botanist: scientist lady is gets shrunk by plants in her greenhouse.

+ Botanist: 科学者の女性が温室で植物に収縮させられる。

the winner of the poll was "Botanist" which is similar to an idea someone pitched for the last time a vote a was had. so that's what I'll be working on next week, after probably 2 more pages of Tall Shrink.

投票の勝者は「Botanist」で、これは前回投票があったときに誰かが出したアイデアに似ている。 というわけで、来週は「Tall Shrink」をあと2ページほど書いた後、これに取り掛かる予定だ。

the presentation of the comic will be similar to the way earlier ones I did. it'll be more like a sequence rather than a comic with multiple panels, similar to this:

漫画の見せ方は、以前私がやったものと似ている。複数のコマで構成された漫画というよりは、このように連続したものになるだろう：

these past months I've been kinda creatively drained, especially when it came to continuing Tall Shrink. I don't really know how to explain it, but after the first couple of pages I just didn't feel like continuing. I thought that after a while of working on it I'd get rid of like the creativity block, but it didn't happen, it was just like a blank.

この数ヶ月、特に「Tall Shrink」を続けることになると、創造力がちょっと削がれてしまった。どう説明したらいいかわからないけど、最初の2、3ページが終わった後、続ける気になれなかったんだ。しばらく書き続ければ、創作意欲のブロックみたいなものがなくなると思っていたんだけど、そうならなくて、ただ空白みたいになってしまったんだ。

anyways, I think it was mostly a Tall Shrink problem, since it's just too long now and I didn't want to make it go down the route of "shrinking tag" where every character shrinks every couple of pages. that situation I'd rather reserve for something else.

とにかく、「Tall Shrink」の問題がほとんどだったと思う。今は長すぎるし、すべてのキャラクターが2、3ページごとに縮んでいく「縮みタグ」のようなルートにしたくなかった。 そのような状況は、むしろ他のことのためにとっておきたい。

returning to not drawing multiple panels per page will also give me more time to work on game. also, the damn heat is finally going away so I can actually sit in front of the PC now and program. expect updates on game this month.

ページに何コマも描かないことに戻れば、ゲームに取り組む時間も増える。 また、ようやく暑さが和らいできたので、PCの前に座ってプログラミングができるようになった。
