Let me provide some background of the show.. I watched the show when it’s aired, everyone watched it at that time should know the boy group would be the debut team as Hellevator MV has already been released beforehand. The promotion of the show stated that is “Stray Kids vs JYP”, so at the time being, it’s quite nerve-wracking to watch through the show because you would not know if the group would debut at the end of the show. It’s interesting to watch this again along with your commentary, definitely enjoy it!

Haha to clarify, IF the girls team had been selected to debut, then the name of the show and the group would not have been Stray Kids. The name of the show was decided after we knew which group was debuting, and I believe Chan is the one who named the group and created their logo as well. Its in his handwriting too. This is why Stays call Stray Kids, Chan's group rather than JYP's group.

I'm a stay since 2018 and I never watched it before cause I've seen so many nerve wracking scenes from this on the internet. But I guess the time has come. Watching this one episode felt like watching the Kingdom finale. So nerve wracking and for what, I know they debuted, and as a 9

I guess I'll answer your questions as I watch. The showcase was to decide which team would debut. The company had decided and picked the lineup for the girls team and Chan had picked and produced the boys team. The two teams were competing to decide which would debut first. Also the solo girl you saw (Lily) is debuting with NMIXX under JYPE this month.

This feels like a blast from the past since I only watched it while it was airing and haven't seen it since. A little explanation on Skz's backstory and what the survival show is about. Stray Kids were selected by Bang Chan. Usually when a new group debuts, the lineup is decided by the company but this time Chan was the one who decided on the members. The whole survival show is centered around the kids proving to JYPE that they should let them debut with this lineup.

Early Stray Kids was very very rap heavy and very much 3Racha based and you'll definitely notice that during the survival show. Even after their debut you could also see from maybe the first two comebacks that the three of them would get a majority of the lines, but after that there was definitely a change in line distribution and the other members really got to showcase more. I'm really glad that you've decided to react to this and I'm definitely looking forward to rewatching this with you

I'm not a cub (Woojin fandom name), but I feel bad for Woojin. He was proven innocent, yet his reputation was nearly shattered forever. I think deep down, the fandom never really cared for Woojin, that's why when the accusation came about, it was completely one sided. It took him years, but I'm glad he was able to somewhat bounce back and make music again.
