[Kdrama] Navillera Ep 2 Reaction

I wanted to add that the manhwa/webtoon that this drama is based on is so heart warming yet heart wrenching at the same time. If the drama follows that storyline closely, and the acting lines up with the emotions portrayed in the original, this is guaranteed going to be amazing. Get your tissues ready though~

for your reference if you want to react to other dramas in the future, almost all of normal korean dramas aired in TV release 2 eps every week! Also, I think this drama revolves around trying to do what you really want. Like besides the old man, the son also gave up to be a doctor and quit his hospital to become a movie director, and the wife who went to the job interview bc she wants to start her career again. I'm not sure about the grand daughter, but maybe she doesn't want to work there too but she works really hard just to fulfill her father's expectations on her. p.s. the old man is so cuteee ;;

Its normal that restaurants gets interns, at least in my country too. Especially if its a huge restaurant chain. Actually if you intern in a hotel, there's a high possibility that you will be based on their restaurants. I used to intern in a hotel, I was an intern under the GM's secretary and other interns are under the restaurants. Its a big part if you're a graduate or currently studying Tourism and Hospitality. And it does make sense since Managers of restaurants doen't automatically became managers, usually they became interns or servers/waiters first. Its just also mainly so you can experience this side of th business. Anyways, loving this drama so far... I live their chemistry.

I love this drama already, so good. So many familiar faces too.. the grandma played a drug seller in “Just Between Lovers”, the blonde guy played a prosecutor in “He Is Psychometric” with GOT7’s Jinyoung, and even though I haven’t watched Love Alarm or anything but I already think I have a thing for Song Kang thanks to you. I love that this drama focuses on the grandpa and his relationship with Chaerok. If you think about it, 70 isn’t that old. I suppose maybe because he is retired that makes it more of a challenge for him to start ballet. I know plenty of elderly in my neighbourhood who are 70-80 years old who do things like Taichi and still work long hours (my grandpa is 80 and still works from 5am-4pm) so I do think that even a 70 year old could take up ballet. If not professionally then definitely leisurely. The basic exercises could help strengthen their muscles and joints wouldn’t it?

ahh I see. I get it. that's a very different mentality with learning all sides. but I totally get it and I think it's a good idea, even for higher positions.

seth james

right?? I think this is definitely one of the main messages of the show. to try and pursue things we want to because life does happen and then we're 70.

seth james

I agree! this drama is quite different! thats why I was so excited about this. its also a bonus that it's song Kang lol. -- I think they might've been really close teammates for the soccer team that they were on. maybe they were really good and because song Kang left, the team suffered.

seth james

ohhh I see. that makes sense now. that's so sad :(

seth james

I just hope that the ending will be satisfyingđŸ™đŸ». I’m still not over how disappointing it was to watch the ending of Love Alarm.

For the intern thing, the restaurant is managed by a big company and the girl is doing an internship with that company. They send their interns to the restaurant to also give them a feel of the practical work so that they get to experience all 'sides' of their business and how they operate on all levels, from office work (as we saw in the first episode) to working a s a waiter. She is an intern of the company and probably wants to become a full-time employee, so even if right now they put her as a waitress, she's working really hard to impress her boss as much as possible so that she can get a better position in the company later on. Also, as seen in the beginning of this episode, her father is being super pressuring about it all so she probably feels like she NEEDS to do well. But as you said, both sides are understandable. She's willing to put her pride to the side in order to leave a good impression, so even if a costumer acts like an ass she'll just ignore it and try to do her job, whereas Chae-rok probably already receives so much bs from other people in his life already that he doesn't have the patience to keep a straight face and act like everything's fine. Also, he has a point when he says that if she lets costumers disrespect her that way they'll think it's okay to do so and will treat all the other waiters like that as well

I'm loving it so far! I adore Song Kang so I was so hyped for this mainly for him and the ballet aspect but I feel so much more invested even after only two episodes! It's just so heartwarming and it definitely makes you think of so much. I definitely have so many regrets already even at 27 and it makes me want to give so much more a shot even if I'm not sure how well I can do it 😍

Honestly I’m loving the drama so far. It’s just so wholesome ^^ The fact that the main thing driving the plot isn’t 1) the romance of the two main characters or 2) the main characters drive to solve some mystery (= literally any kdrama... ever), but the friendship between a grandpa finally having the courage follow his dreams and a young man who is having trouble pursuing his passion and in need for a parental/mentor like figure in his life. Idk. These first two episodes haven’t let me down so far and I’m curious to see how the relationships in this drama will develop. Also.... Whut da heck is going on between blond dude who should have kept his hair black and mr main dancer. Like... how close was their relationship that blondie literally sends him a message Every Single Day that says “you doesn’t deserve a good life”. You need to have cared for someone to hate them so deeply...

In Korea its become tradition to give tofu when someone's released from prison, that's why he had it in the fridge, he probably bought some to give to his dad :(
