I personally think you should watch either YGTB or MIXNINE. YGTB has fewer contestants so it can give your brain a break, you can also see how YG entertainment works. MIXNINE because you’ll see more familiar faces compared to the unit

I know it's not gonna win, but I really hope you will watch the Street Dance of China 3 sometime in the near future, because it is just amazing. The competing dancers themselves are already established dancers and they made name for themselves in international or domestic competitions. The coaches were great too, they displayed a perfect mix of showmanship and dancing skills, you will definitely see Lay and Jackson from a different perspective, and get to know Yibo and Walles. They have great chemistry with each other despite it being a competition they keep it very friendly. And the dances are just insane! And as the name goes, a lot of it is free styling as they are all a part of street dance culture.

Honestly even if you don't watch I-Land, you should definitely react to the performances on the show especially the FAKE LOVE performance. It was really nicely executed and the contemporary dance break in the beginning with Heesung is something I really think you'll enjoy reacting to!

I’m still all for Street Dance of China because it is such a wonderful show. Although I know that it won’t win because of the lack of popularity and it is long but I do hope that you check it out in the future. There were so many dance styles and it is not your typical dancing survival show. Every stage is so well done and the choreographies that the contestants come up with is just ✨insane✨ and thats even an understatement!

I vote Street Dance of China because it was amazing show. Not typical idol dancing show or talent show but it is a real dancing show. Dancers who come all around the world was in competition. The production of the show was very grand especially they were filming during covid time. They had a lot of challenges during the competition. My favorite was battle with their coach. Jackson was really funny, you will fall for him. Lay was very good but my favorite was Wang Yi bo even I'm Exo L. One of the coach was in the 40 yrs old. Hope you will react to it. Something new than just Kpop survival show.

The first korean reality survival show and hooked me up to K-Pop is Produce 101 season 2 and for me still is the best sucks that Wanna One didnt stay together they were so popular they even managed to beat BTS and EXO in the Best Male Group category in MAMA as a rookie group 😔

I'm curious, would you be interested in checking out Idol Producer, or Qing Chun You Ni, or Youth With You?? (they're one of China's main two versions of Produce, and I think it's better than Korea's version...) Obviously, you don't react to it now, but sometime in the future!! I feel like you might have some different opinions about some of the performances, which I would enjoy watching!! Plus, Lay, Jackson, Cheng Xiao, Zhou Jieqiong, The8, and Lisa were all mentors throughout the 3 seasons! I really enjoyed I-LAND and at least that group stayed true and is permanent but the Wanna One season was probably the only Produce season I wholeheartedly enjoyed without being butthurt in the end also Street Dance of China with Lay and Jackson was so fun to watch. For me personally, I believe Produce series with Wanna One would be great for you because if ever you'll decide to stan them most of the members are still active in the industry so it wouldn't be a waste. Also, for me and I think many would agree, so far, they are still the most successful group ever created on this kind of survival shows. They might be a temporary group but I promise you it would be so worth it! 🥰 However, if you would want to have a different setting and dance centered show, Street Dance of China would be the best option for you. It was so amazing to see different kinds of dancing genre in one show and you as a performer, I believe will definitely appreciate this show ☺️

My vote is Street Dance of China. I love good choreography, with explanation of techniques and styles. Second vote might be Produce, my food for the nostalgic feeling lmao. In my opinion, I like the contestants in Mix Nine but Yang Geunsuk’s face and words just annoyed me so much that I struggled to watch. About I-land, they are cute and hard working but their vocal technique is not my style, very nasal and whiny; the dance is okay. Again, this is completely based on my taste and experience.

Hi Jeff! It seems like Street Dance of China might not win and I totally understand that each episode is extremely long but this show literally changed the way I think of idols dancing. It was so amazing to see so these amazing idols freestyle since I'm so used to seeing choreographies instead (which are amazing in a different way)! If this show doesn't win I'd really suggest at least checking out the captains' freestyle battles in the first 2 episodes!!!! Notably: Captain's cypher battle (freestyle battle against all 4 captains aka Jackson, Lay, Yibo, Wallace) and Jackson vs. Yibo freestyle (yibo is also a kpop idol in the group UNIQ)! There are so many amazing dancers in KPOP and Yibo, Jackson, and Lay REALLY showed their talents in this show and it allowed people to overcome some biases about how kpop dancers aren't "real dancers"!

Rooting very hard for Broduce to win this poll - it's just absolutely iconic and a must-watch in terms of how it's impacted the industry to such an extent, very unprecedented and still absolutely legendary plus the current boy group scene is so heavily impacted by it. It's *the* survival show season, IMO - obviously Produce season 1 set the tone for it all but season 2 is where they kind of really hone that formula I feel. (If you do react to this, then I can also comment some of the behind-the-scenes fun stuff they put out with each episode haha) But hey, if not now then perhaps sometime down the road! I'll wait, and I'm sure all of these choices are good, but I'm really hoping we can watch it soon haha My second pick would be Mixnine, though the outcome is frustrating the show had some pretty good performances I think and does give a chance to get to know more people.

Are you still considering watching Why Not The Dancer with Eunhyuk, Gikwang, Taemin and Jisung? Since it's only 8 episodes, you could maybe watch it, if you decide to wait between The Unit and Kingdom. Just a thought. Beside Hit the Stage and Dancing High I haven't watched any survival shows - since I tend to root for the underdogs and end up more frustrated than entertained xD

Mixnine and Produce are great options b/c you get to know already promoting idols. Like, I don't think you've ever reacted to Nu'est before, so watching Produce would be so eye-opening as to how the industry works. They debuted in 2012 along with EXO, AOA, VIXX, etc. and struggled so. much. to the point where hey were on the verge of disbanding. So going on Produce 101 was really the last resort. Thanks to the show, they went through a major renaissance and are now pretty well-established! This is also the case w/ Mixnine--you get to see groups like A.C.E., Ateez, Dreamcatcher, and more.
