She had a family once and a daughter, but one day she arrived home to see her estate ablazed, ravaged by a firey planeswalker from Tarkir. Hamia's spark ignited and she was transported to the Ojutai monestary.
There, she vowed to never take another life for as long as she drew breath, and trained with deep devotion to the teachings of the monks. Later years she adopted a small soratami, and ever since they have been inseparable
