After becoming the Supreme Archbishop of Fontaine, Ye accumulated an immense amount of pressure, especially because of the Hydro Archon, Furina, who made him feel overwhelmed every single day.

But there was no way around it. People have to live, people have to eat, and no matter how much pressure one is under, work still needs to be done.

And so, under the weight of such a life, the overwhelming pressure persisted for a full five hundred years.

Ye and Furina worked together continuously for five hundred years, without a single day off. Feeling like he could no longer endure it, Ye began submitting resignation letters one after another to Furina—only to have them all rejected.

With lifeless eyes, he stared at his cunning superior, who seemed to say, "I'm still holding on, so don't think you can escape alone! If we're going to wear down, we'll wear down together!" He even couldn't help but entertain the thought of assassinating the Hydro Archon and then ending his own life, thinking, "Let's both be free!"

One was a loli-like being named Baoyu, who claimed to be some sort of system. She told Ye that he had become a character in the game Genshin Impact and that he could earn rewards from her by gaining popularity in the game.

The other was a girl named Nameless, who claimed to be the embodiment of Ye's dreams. She said she could help Ye construct any dream he desired while he slept, thereby relieving his stress.
