Color Script - Part 1

HEY GUUUUYS!

Before I say anything, I'd like to thank all of you for yet another month of your INCREDIBLE support!!! No North is only possible because of you, you absolute legends!!!

So let's all walk together into a new phase of this comic: Book 2 - The Crossroads!

And I'll also take the opportunity to reveal the name of issue 4 of No North: The Devil and her Chariot!

I'm currently working on this issue's color script. For those who don't know, a Color Script is exactly what it sounds like: A visual version of the script that serves as a test run of the colors and mood of each scene <3 Disclaimer, though, this is not used to test out what the comic will look like in the end, just the colors/mood.

Here you have a couple of scenes that will take place right at the beginning of this issue. It's going to be very varied in color schemes!

Here's one more test I did for the second scene shown here:

Which one is your favorite?

I'm sooooooo excited to show you more and hear your thoughts! Stay tuned for more color script pieces!

YOU GUYS ARE THE BEEEEST!!!!

OOOHH this is so interesting!!! I always adore color scripts and studies because they convey the feeling the scene has so well!! And focusing on the colors impacts the mood of a scene much, much more than you’d think! On the first panel I can see the sun going down with- it looks maybe like the cast of Oddwind dogs from that one cut-out No North Trailer scene and the Devil herself with, I suspect her ‘chariot’ rolling in!! I remember her with her crystal ball and fortune teller theme, gives me Vide Noir vibes and I cannot WAIT to see this side of her character, plus how she steals more souls…such an interesting concept! And I personally like the first version of the second panel more than the third below because it has that same yellow/faded tone of a memory, like an old photograph lost to time but still remembered in your heart. The last one looks like a vibrant summer scene, though! And those jumping poses look absolutely amazing as always, I recently tried drawing something like that and could NOT get the legs right, great job!! I am so unbelievably excited for book 2 and what awaits us, I hope you’re having a wonderful time with the story! I know whatever you create will be beyond our wildest imaginations in the best ways possible!
