Well, this is the end of page days for a little while now :') but fear not! I have loads of things planned out!
What's going to happen from now on?
For everyone who stuck around after Book 1 finished - THANK YOU.
Your support means everything to this project and it makes a HUGE difference during the pre-production period! So for those who can still be here, I thank you a thousand times!
I have many things happening at once until the end of the year, so I want to be 100% honest with you all!
I might not be able to post as often since I'm currently in the process of writing Book 2. I unfortunately can't really post a lot about what I'm writing, because of spoilers! :')
I'm also preparing the book for printing and creating merch + fair displays for Comic Con - It'll be my first time ever having a big table just for No North, so that's pretty exciting!
I'm also still working on my secret project, which will be revealed next month! (It's been giving me a lot of headaches, but I really hope it works out in the end!)
Now, what's next for Patron?
The next few months will be mostly focused on creating concept art and experimenting with different page styles! I really need to take a step back and focus on creating a more intelligent style for this comic, otherwise I’ll take another 3 or 4 years to finish book 2. It’s a very hard decision, because I’ve been working with this style for so long and I know how much you guys appreciate it (it means a lot to me!) but I still think the story should be my biggest focus from now on, while still doing my best to keep it visually interesting. I was severely burnt out from spending so long detailing almost every single panel of a 220+ page comic, which in the end didn’t help me tell the story any better.
I’m keeping all of your concerns in mind and I’m very hopeful we can figure this out together! Your opinion will be SUPER important to me so you can be 100% honest, always! Even if you hate whatever it is I’m testing out! xD
And of course I’ll be dropping exclusive content weekly as always, including art unrelated to No North and even little animatics! <3 so lots of exciting stuff!!!
I’m very excited for this next chapter in both No North and in life, and I’ll be thrilled to have the honor of sharing it with you all!

This is such a gorgeous scene Skailla! ✨You know how much I love these desert scenes of yours; they're so captivating! Just beautiful work as always! Stuff like this is such a huge part of what made me fall in love with No North 💖 Ooh, a secret project, this sounds exciting! I can't wait to see what you have in the works, it sounds like something big! I can't believe we're at the end of book one now, the time has really flown by these past three years! Just amazing... You know that I'm so happy to have found your work and this community, and I'm not planning to go anywhere! As much as I love how beautifully you've crafted each page of Book 1, I completely understand your choice to simplify the comic's style for Book 2, to make production faster and easier. I'm sure that whatever style you choose will have just the right aesthetic and won't take anything away from the comic. If anyone can do this, I know you can! I'm looking forward to continuing on this journey and seeing where this adventure takes us!

Your work is top of the notch stuff. I, along with those here have cherished each page, taking in the story/lore and the art. I believe you and the team deserve some reprieve after the hard work. I’ll be 100% understanding if choosing a simpler style is efficienter from now on, I can’t imagine how much effort you must’ve put in book 1 omg. Plus I’m a sucker for simpler comic styles as well ;)

That said, creating and drawing a whole 220+ page graphic novel/webcomic all coming from your own incredible imagination and artistic ability- I can’t imagine the work it took to get to this point! I mean, in order to even begin to start writing No North and get it into physical copies, you had to start your own publishing house, from my understanding, Adventura. I can’t imagine how hard just that must be! I don’t how you don’t get art block every two weeks 😂 one No North page would probably take me a month, they’re so good and detailed! You’ve done so much for us and toward the production of No North’s book 1, and in my opinion No North is one of the most amazing things on earth, and you are probably the most underrated artist in the world! I wish more people knew about the wonderful world of No North. That said, definitely take all the time you need if you feel burnt out or need a break, you’ve been giving us incredibly high quality pages every week, sometimes twice a week (Mondays and Fridays)! So, if you think changing the page style would be better for you and the production of No North, by all means do it! We’ll be behind you all the way, I know that what you choose to do will be amazing! The page styles you’ve showed us looked really interesting. I’m really excited to see that secret project, too- maybe it’s something linked to No Northvember? I’m really excited to see the next chapter of this journey and to see your work outside of No North pages, mainly on animatics- I’m a big fan of the YouTube animation community and I have seen some incredible animatics- I find it so amazing to see how the art blends with the music and brings out visually stunning results! In fact, as soon as I can find an art/animation software that works for me, I have plenty of inspiration and ideas for animatics myself. The Great Unknown animatics was magical for me, especially being at the premier, the song, too, as it brought out a lot of my hopes and dreams and my soul wishing to ‘get out of the garden and explore the great unknown’. I’m so happy No North has come this far, and again, I’m even more excited to see what the future brings! Thank you for always being so nice and truthful to us, and always bringing us such wonderful things! P.S. This art piece looked gorgeous! Lineless art is so beautiful, especially with the designs of your characters! Yesterday morning I got up really early to witness a sunrise on the beach, and it was amazing! You really captured the early morning atmosphere and how the light shines across the canyon, I love it! P.S.S. Sorry if the writing seems a little erratic- I was writing this with a kitten in my lap!

(That's my argument in favor of doing the full details) Now the other argument is I understand wanting to get the story told too, whichever works best for you, us indie creators are free to do what we want ;) I support you, it will be great. What about doing splash pages in full epic detail every once in awhile mixed in?
