Marsha is a strong pup, you can bet it had been a while seen she last cried. Sometimes a little bit of kindness goes a long way.
Steban had a very strong bravado back in the day, stronger than he does now. Making promises is always easy when you have so much perspective and youthful pride. Keeping them, however, is a whole different story...
He had no idea how much Marsha depended on him, and how much that meant to her.

Keep talking Steb, I want to know everything! 🤣 I feel like this page could be leading us into more revelations about the compass, and I'm definitely looking forward to that! Love the warm, vibrant colors here too, they're beautiful! Can't wait to see how the next few pages play out!

Steban gives Marsha so much hope and promise, which makes her have faith in him and bring everyone back home. I now know why she felt the way when she first saw Steban after all these years he never came back and suddenly he just comes back to the town. I understand the pain and heartbreak she must have felt. Let’s hope that Steban still keeps that promise and does everyone back home. Have an awesome weekend and week Skailla! ☺️😍

2024-05-24 13:14:01 +0000 UTCI’m so happy the flashback was extended cause this page is so sweet 🥹. Bittersweet may be more accurate though considering the events that unfolded. I’d argue the character models have only continued to improve since the start; pup Marsha was so expressive here and watching her emotions unfold is truly heartbreaking. Overall, another fantastic page Skailla 👍!

2024-05-24 13:09:41 +0000 UTCOooooh its in this moment I begin to relize what that "promise" was and why Marsha has disdain for him 😬 It seems like perhaps when he betrayed Baltazar, Balt must have spread to the whole city that Steban is a coward that ran away for his own safety, but the reality is that he's still looking for that compass and trying to fulfill his promise 🤔 thats just speculation and theory craft though. I love how the previous page was the flashback we saw featured in No Northvember and it connects to this page 🤩💖💖 it all shows how much preparation ahead of time you've had for key moments in the story and its direction! I wont write too much here (I don't typically do), but this page and the deep direction its going in has me excited 💖💖 awesome work on this! It really gives me more of Steban too! He's such a lovable character and he just doesn't deserve any of the hate from oddwind 😔 keep being awesome and adventurous!
