just wrapped the new FftR episode any if you couldn't already guess, we're getting close to the end of this series. In part 6 we take a look at the fallout of the failed Spartacist Uprising and how it connects to the ultimate downfall of German democracy in the early thierties.
With Germany signing the treaty of Versailles in the next episode, the founding-phase of the Weimar Republic comes to an end and I feel thats a good point to wrap things up. That doesn't mean that we wont return to Weimar Germany for later shows but for the "Fight for the Republic"-series, that's gonna be it. I'm also gonna record an epilog episode adressing some open questions like, how should we judge the SPD/KPD spat and where the characters of the series end up. I was thinking about doing a Patreon exclusive Q&A stream after posting the last episode if you folks would be interested. I think after we're done with FftR I'm gonna work on a new YT vid before we jump into our next series which I'm really excited about.
In terms of bonus episodes, I have one in the pipe that should go live next week. Talking about the US., the speed at which the right is trying to roll back LGBT+ rights right now and attack trans people is really shifting into overdrive IMO. Combine this with a geriatric democratic leadership that is completely unprepared for what they are facing, is making me quote worried.
