Hey everyone,

as Russia marches into Ukraine, I felt like there was a lot unsaid on the last show we did on this topic. Of course things change very fast at the moment so part of the last episode was outdated after merely a day. Now that we're actually seeing the scenario of a full blown invasion play out in Ukraine, I was lucky enough to secure two guests for the podcast that can help us make sense of what is going on. Not just on the ground but also in the conversation surrouding these events and what is happening in Russia. You probably remember Derek from our Bonus Episode on the flare up of violence in Israel and Palestine last year. Our other guest is Daniel Bessner who serves as Derek's co-host on the American Prestige podcast.

I wont cover the conflict in a whole lot of detail going from here because I do wanna get back into the regular rhythm of the show where these bonus shows are inbetween our stricly historical shows, that said, this really looks like a watershed moment in modern history and I did not want to miss the chance, to bring someone onto the pod who can inform you and me about it a little more.

Unless something earth shattering like Nuclear War happens the next show will be "The Fight for the Republic" #5.
